Quattro Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley Offers Exquisite Wines by the Glass

In tech-central Silicon Valley, guests don’t think twice about the sleek Enomatic machine that lines a portion of the Quattro Restaurant bar at Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto.  Of course one can order a 2, 4, or 6 ounce pour of their favourite high-end wine without having to get a bottle, because at a hotel known for personalised service, choice for wine should be just as customised.

“By offering our guests a curated selection of some of the finest wines by the glass, they’re able to taste wines they normally wouldn’t have tried, or better yet, different distinct glasses can be ordered by everyone at the table,” explains Assistant Food and Beverage Director Richard Lanaud.  

The Enomatic system dispenses wine directly from the bottle using inert gas preservation making the flavours and characteristics of the wine remain intact for more than three weeks, as if the bottle had just been opened.  In addition to providing guests with a selection of 12 unique high-end wines by the glass, the system allows the server to portion control each glass helping to eliminate waste.

Current offerings include a 2009 Château Margaux, a Premier Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux with exceptional ripeness, finesse, balance, and freshness found only at Quattro by the glass.  Guests can also find a 2010 Masi Costasera Amarone Classico, considered one of Italy’s finest luxury wines, a 2013 Far Niente Chardonnay, and a rare 2012 Louis Barruol Côte-Rôtie “Boisselee” along with other unique offerings changing constantly.
