Chef Swart first joined Four Seasons in 2014 as a Sous Chef at Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff Johannesburg in South Africa. After a successful tenure, he departed in 2017 and rejoined Four Seasons in 2023 as Executive Sous Chef at Four Seasons in Kuwait, and soon got promoted to Executive Chef at Four Seasons Silicon Valley.
Chef Swart’s culinary journey began at The Michelangelo Hotel in Johannesburg and includes high-profile leadership positions in renowned kitchens across the globe. His career highlights include executive roles at the One&Only Hotel in Cape Town and The President Hotel, as well as an enriching international experience as an in-flight chef with Etihad Airways. These diverse roles have shaped his refined approach to modern cuisine while maintaining a focus on quality, sustainability, and innovation.
In addition to his wealth of experience, Chef Swart is a dedicated mentor and has represented South Africa in prestigious culinary competitions such as the IKA Culinary Olympics (2012) and the Dubai Culinary Championships (2013). He holds a Diploma in Professional Cookery and remains deeply committed to fostering the next generation of culinary talent within his team.
