London at Ten Trinity Square

Following Mei Ume’s successful June launch, the restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square is celebrating China’s Mid-Autumn Festival with a dedicated menu, available through Saturday, October 7, 2017. One of the most important dates in the Chinese calendar, the festival always falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, marking a time for thanksgiving.

Fresh from years of experience with Royal China restaurants, Mei Ume’s Head Chef Tony Truong has created an impressive eight-course Chinese lunch and dinner menu for the occasion, priced at GBP 65 per person with a minimum of two diners:

  • Yu sheng (Cantonese-style raw fish and shredded chicken salad)
  • Steamed dim sum platter
  • Ibérico pork char siu
  • Wok-fried Hereford beef fillet
  • Steamed halibut, picked vegetables
  • Wok-fried pak choi, garlic and ginger
  • Prawn and mushroom rice, salted egg
  • Chinese traditional mooncake

The Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as the Moon or Harvest Moon Festival, with a traditional part of the festivities revolving around extravagant mooncakes, shared among loved ones as a symbol of unity. A classic mooncake has a dense filling of bean paste and salted duck egg yolk (a reference to the celestial body), while Mei Ume’s special creations are filled with two of three flavours: custard, red bean and matcha.

Fully embracing this special time, Mei Ume is also offering its sumptuous mooncakes for individual purchase, beautifully packaged and priced at GBP 10 each, GBP 38 for six or GBP 70 for twelve.

Mooncakes can be pre-ordered now by calling 0203 297 3799.

About Mei Ume

Following the early 2017 launch of Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, in June the Hotel opened the doors to Mei Ume, its Japanese and Chinese restaurant. Demonstrating the part both cuisines play in the concept of the restaurant, the name Mei Ume is inspired by the Chinese and Japanese terms for plum blossom. Head Chef Tony Truong, formerly of Royal China, is leading the kitchen team, supported by Sushi Chef Mun Seok Choi, who previously worked at Sake no Hana, and Dim Sum Chef Derrick Chen, who has joined from Yauatcha. Along with La Dame de Pic London, the Hotel’s restaurant from acclaimed three-Michelin-starred chef Anne-Sophie Pic, as well as the Rotunda Bar and Lounge, Mei Ume confirms Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square as one of the best dining destinations in the City of London.
