Four Seasons Hotel Tunis proudly announces the next chapter in its Mediterranean culinary series: A Taste of Sicily. Running from October 30 to November 9, this collaboration between AncioviSan Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel and Four Seasons Hotel Tunis brings the finest Sicilian cuisine to Tunis. Hosted at The Creek Bistro Chic, our restaurant now featuring the Riviera Coastal Cuisine concept, the event will showcase the culinary talents of Chef Philip Mangano, offering guests a true Sicilian dining experience set against the coastal charm of Tunisia.

Introducing Chef Philip Mangano

Born and raised in Sicily, Chef Philip Mangano discovered his passion for cooking at a young age, learning by his grandmother’s side as they prepared meals for their family. Immersed early in the art of working with fresh, local ingredients, he was inspired to pursue a career dedicated to the culinary word.

After completing culinary school and building his experience in Sicily, Chef Philip Mangano took his skills abroad, moving to Dubai to work in an Italian restaurant led by a Michelin-starred chef. During his three years there, he refined his craft and deepened his love for Italian cuisine. He then moved to Cyprus, where he played a leading role in opening a 5-star luxury hotel and had the opportunity to explore and incorporate the island’s rich culinary heritage.

In 2021, Chef Philip Mangano returned to Sicily to join the team at the newly opened San Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel , collaborating with renowned chef Massimo Mantarro.
Today, he continues to create unforgettable dining experiences as part of the team at Anciovi, Restaurant, driven by a commitment to the vibrant flavors and exceptional ingredients of his homeland.

From Sicily to Tunis, a Mediterranean voyage begins. As the sun rises over the lemon groves of Taormina, its golden light dances across the sea, carrying with it the vibrant zest of limone and the rich essence of Sicilian olives. This journey is more than just miles across the Mediterranean; it is a passage of flavors, culture, and tradition. In every dish, you will taste the tang of fresh olio d'oliva, the bright burst of lemon, and the soul of Sicily itself.
