Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler Appoints Marla Barnshaw as Commercial Director

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler is pleased to announce the appointment of Marla Barnshaw as Commercial Director, effective September 2026.

Barnshaw brings more than 20 years of luxury hospitality experience to her new role, with a career spanning sales leadership, business development and commercial strategy. As Commercial Director, she will lead the Resort’s commercial strategy across sales, reservation, marketing and revenue, while working closely with teams across the Resort and Residences to support continued growth and strengthen its position within the luxury travel market.

Barnshaw joins the Whistler team from Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica, where she served as Director of Sales. In this role, she led a team of sales professionals across the United States and Costa Rica, overseeing both group and leisure segments and managing several of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ key accounts. Her responsibilities extended across strategic account development, forecasting and commercial planning, while also mentoring and developing members of the sales team.

Prior to her time in Costa Rica, Barnshaw held a sales leadership position at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, where she developed longstanding relationships in the group market. Throughout her Four Seasons career, she has built a reputation for thoughtful leadership, strong client relationships and an approach to commercial strategy grounded in both people and performance.
