Born in Aubagne, France, Ambre Chabert developed a deep love for the ocean, inspired by her parents who were avid watersports enthusiasts. This upbringing fostered her passion for marine biology, which would eventually lead her on the path of becoming a WiseOceans Marine Biologist and Educator at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora. Ambre earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Biodiversity from Aix-Marseille University in France, which allowed her the opportunity to engage in coral restoration and monitoring at Raffles Seychelles through the Marine Conservation Society. She then completed her International Master’s Degree in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea) with a focus on Global Ocean Changes. Ambre’s professional journey includes roles such as Marine Mammal Observer at the Marine Natural Park of Cap Corse and Agriate in Corsica, where she monitored marine mammal populations. Additionally, she served as a Sustainable Fisheries Project Leader in Grande-Rivière, Canada, pioneering alternative fishing methods to reduce marine mammal entanglement and monitoring marine mammal presence. As a Marine Biology Educator in Marseille, she developed environmental awareness programs and guided boat expeditions. Ambre also worked as a marine biology teacher, showcasing her dedication to educating others about marine conservation. Ambre is fluent in French and English, with proficiency in Italian. She holds certifications in scuba diving, rescue diving, and is a certified Marine Mammal Observer. In her spare time, she enjoys free diving, nature photography, and fitness activities.
