Diego Stembert is a 30-year hospitality industry veteran, whose worldwide experience has led him to his assignment as General Manager of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla. In 2010, Stembert began his Four Seasons journey at Four Seasons Resort Nevis as Director of Rooms. Over the next three and a half years, he advanced through key leadership roles, including Executive Assistant Manager and Resort Manager. His flourishing career earned him further opportunities within the brand, including General Manager roles at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora and Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires. Prior to these appointments, he also served as Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City.

“There is something particularly special about life on a tropical island – it’s absolutely surreal to wake up to this paradise every day. We know that our guests choose to be here to celebrate some of their most momentous occasions, so it’s our mission to ensure that their stay with us is perfection. It’s what drives us every day, and what rewards us in seeing their smiles and memories created.”

Growing up in San Sebastian, home to the highest number of Michelin stars per square metre in the world, Diego has always been inspired by the very best in hospitality. This led him to university at the esteemed Le Roches hospitality school in Marbella, where he earned his diploma in international hotel management.

Upon graduating, Diego gained valuable experience throughout Spain, as he worked his way up the operations structure at The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort in Marbella (reception manager); The Westin Palace in Madrid (front office manager); and Hotel Alfonso XIII, A Luxury Collection Hotel in Seville (rooms division manager). From there, island life called, and Diego headed to Mauritius, where he held the positions of director of rooms and director of operations at The Grand Mauritian, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa.

Diego and his wife Loubna (whom he met on his first day of hotel school), enjoy their free time playing tennis, having a beach day, watching movies, and traveling with their two children Sofia and Nicolas.
