Erika Padilla is the Director of Outlets at Four Seasons Hotel Denver. Born in Tucson, Arizona and raised in Prescott, Arizona, Padilla first discovered her passion for hospitality while she was in college at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She knew early on she only wanted to work for top luxury brands, and as Padilla learned about Four Seasons while in college, she decided this was the company she wanted to pursue.
With Las Vegas being the hospitality capitol of the country, Padilla accepted an internship with Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas in the banquets department. She quickly discovered that the fast pace nature of the food and beverage side of hospitality was a perfect fit for her. “When there are hundreds of people in our restaurant and the vibe is great and the team is all synchronized together, I think that’s the most rewarding part of my job,” says Padilla. “It was energizing seeing all the work our team would pour into an event, and then watching it come to fruition, and hearing the guests say, ‘this was the best meal of my life.’”
Padilla was initially drawn to Denver because she felt it was the best of both worlds in combining a vibrant culinary scene surrounded by a beautiful mountain landscape. The artistic flair of Denver drives Padilla to be very creative in the experience she curates for Four Seasons Hotel Denver and EDGE Restaurant & Bar. She is constantly thinking of how to stay ahead of the trends in the culinary scene, coming up with a variety of events and activations to bring a vibrant, upbeat atmosphere to the property.
Padilla was drawn to the brand because she admires how Four Seasons not only puts their guests at the centre of everything it does, but also being sure to truly take care of their staff. She found that this philosophy is very important to her, especially when to comes to the service they provide. She is inspired by the entire team’s passion for food and beverage and the people they welcome into the restaurants. From the initial greeting at the host stand, to the perfect food and wine pairing at the table, Padilla and her team strive to create a magical guest experience from start to finish.
