Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Tim Churchmack attended Ohio University where he initially started his work in special education. He is passionate about helping others and worked in a summer camp for special needs adults. He found helping and connecting with people while making a difference in their lives was extremely important to him. While in college at Ohio University, Churchmack began learning more about different companies in the hospitality industry and was introduced to Four Seasons. He found that Four Seasons puts a lot of focus into developing people and was interested in seeing what this meant firsthand. While still in college, Churchmack visited Four Seasons Hotel Chicago on a trip with his family. Immediately upon arrival, he felt the warmth of the staff and the energy inside the hotel and knew this company culture was special. Following graduation, Churchmack began his career with the very same Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, eventually working his way to Hotel Manager of the property he adored.
Churchmack continued his career working for a variety of different properties throughout his journey with Four Seasons, and in May of 2022, he began his role of Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Denver. He particularly enjoys the active outdoor lifestyle of Denver while still having a thriving culinary scene in the various neighbourhoods of Denver. Churchmack appreciates the way Four Seasons Hotel Denver stays true to the unique identity of Colorado, from the culinary offerings to the design and architecture of the Hotel itself.
Churchmack finds inspiration from the team he works with every day. “Having creative people around me keeps me energized to challenge everyone to improve,” shares Churchmack. “I have always tried to surround myself with people who balance me and that is exactly what I feel with the team at Four Seasons Hotel Denver. I am inspired knowing there are so many people around me that want to challenge the status quo and find creative ways to enhance our guest and employee experience.”
Churchmack says he feels that Four Seasons Hotel Denver strikes the perfect balance between being a hotel serving as a gateway to the mountains, while also feeling like a chic city hotel through the design and service. The team’s approach of being warm and engaging while maintaining the level of professionalism that guests love creates an incredibly welcoming feeling that is very unique to Denver.
Churchmack is very involved in the creative planning at the Hotel’s restaurant, EDGE Restaurant & Bar. “The quality and composure of the dishes set us apart from the competition in Denver,” says Churchmack. “Every time I taste a new dish, I am excited about what we are offering. We serve steakhouse classics in a very elevated level, creating interesting composed dishes that are unique to our restaurant.”
