Greetings guests returning after an epic day skiing or snowboarding Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is one of the best parts of Recreation Manager Brandon Smith’s job. Smith joined Four Seasons in 2025, bringing a passion for outdoor adventure, guest engagement, and a deep understanding of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

“My main goal in Basecamp is to make the experience seamless and fun for our guests,” says Brandon Smith. “It is an incredible feeling to ski this bucket-list mountain for the first time. I love seeing guests return with a smile after a day well spent outdoors.”

Originally from Helena, Montana, Smith earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Montana State University and holds a Wilderness First Responder certification from Wilderness Medical Associates. Before joining Four Seasons, he worked at Amangani in Jackson Hole and served as a Wildlife Naturalist Guide in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, where he honed his knowledge of the region’s wildlife, geology and history.

As a certified Wilderness First Responder, Smith has spent extensive hours guiding and exploring the area. Some of his favourite spots include the backcountry of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, exploring Grand Teton, and skiing Teton Pass in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. He enjoys skiing, mountain biking, trail running, backpacking, paddleboarding, and yoga. When not exploring the outdoors, Smith likes to head to Bin 22 in town for wine, great food, and hanging out with friends, as well as Snake River Brewery, the oldest brewpub and brewery in Jackson Hole.

According to Smith, friends would describe him “as the person who most enjoys what he is doing” and as “active, playful and fun.”

Wanderlust and a passion for travel continue to inspire Smith, who likes to roam anywhere outdoors with culture, adventure, scenic views and unique activities. On his list are far-flung destinations including Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Costa Rica, Spain, and the American Southwest. He plans to one day also pursue his yoga teacher certification and deepen his practice.
