Chef Abraham López is Mexican at heart with a Japanese spirit. He is a gastronome who constantly seeks to expand his knowledge to improve himself every day, both personally and professionally. His passion for gastronomy began by watching chefs Borja Blázquez, Narda Lepes, and Francis Mallmann.
His first encounter with Japanese cuisine was at the Hotel Nikko Mexico City, where he discovered the foundations of Japanese gastronomy and the importance of direct interaction with the customer, always aiming to create a memorable connection and experience. Over time and with a deeper immersion in Japanese culture, Abraham found numerous similarities and a profound respect for gastronomy, as is also valued in Mexico - something that now guides his life as he continues to explore new flavours and techniques.
For him, omakase represents an immersive experience that transports one to a space where service, attention to detail, and quality ingredients converge, creating a moment in which time seems to stand still, allowing the enjoyment of unique flavours and textures.
Abraham loves his culture and his country, Mexico. He spends his time exploring new places and discovering flavours each day. He will always be someone who enjoys sharing good conversation, a cup of coffee, and an excellent meal.
