Ahmed Yacout knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in the travel industry. His father was a chief marine engineer and travelled the world on giant vessels, bringing home intriguing stories of countries he visited and the people he met. Ahmed was drawn to adventure but did not necessarily want to be captive on a ship for weeks at a time. The perfect compromise was hospitality, allowing him to experience different countries and cultures, while immersed deeply in each respective destination.

Serendipity led him to Four Seasons – a company he had always admired – while he and his wife were travelling and enjoying a month-long honeymoon. During their stop in Alexandria, Four Seasons was having a job fair. With his wife’s encouragement, Ahmed applied to join the company, thus starting his Four Seasons adventure.

More than a decade later, Ahmed is proud to have built his career with the brand, leading him to his current role as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston, a Forbes-Five Star luxury hotel.

“The Northeast and Boston is truly a unique, special place and I am happy to be back. I have lived across the United States and I can say there is a richness of culture here that makes the city so special,” says Ahmed. “Boston is a great city to explore art and culinary. The fact that this is a massive sports town with history makes it one of the best cities on the East Coast to visit.”

Originally from Queens, New York, Ahmed worked most recently at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas as Hotel Manager where he was an integral part of planning the USD 40 million hotel renovation as well as signing a new restaurateur to elevate the guest experience. Ahmed became of pillar of the local hospitality community serving on the board of directors for the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association and was a guest lecturer at The William F. Harrah College of Hospitality at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Prior to Las Vegas, Ahmed served as Director of Rooms at Four Seasons Hotel Austin, where he immersed himself in the “people” side of the operation, implementing cross-departmental development of the Rooms team and a targeted effort on improving guest experiences scores. Ahmed was also in multiple leadership roles at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago and Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC. He began his Four Seasons career in 2007 at Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano in Egypt. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from the University of Alexandria in Egypt.

In Boston, Ahmed enjoys exploring New England’s mountains and beaches with his wife and two daughters. He is also ready to experience the many sides of the destination from the art and culture to the growing new culinary scene. His family also loves to cook together and plan to grow a new herb garden in their home in Boston.
