Ripple Grewal brings her extensive background in People and Culture to her current role as Hotel Manager, focusing on the team‑driven operation of Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco.

Born in Mumbai, India, Ripple moved to Canada at the age of ten and grew up in Victoria. She initially entered the hospitality industry mostly by chance after a headhunter contacted her about an HR Advisor role for the pre‑opening team at Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver. The kindness and passion of the leaders she met during the interview process were transformative. “Opening the hotel for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver was an experience I will never forget,” she says. “From then, I have been in love with the industry, its people and its promise of a rewarding career.”

Joining Four Seasons in 2018, Ripple served as Director of People and Culture at both Four Seasons Silicon Valley and Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco. Her experience during the height of the COVID‑19 pandemic strengthened her operational acumen. With hotel teams running lean, she fully immersed herself in day‑to‑day operations, supporting tasks ranging from serving wine and bussing tables to cleaning rooms and checking in guests. This hands‑on experience, together with her passion for team leadership, fuelled her aspiration for a broader role.

Four Seasons supported her development through training and mentorship, leading to her current role as Hotel Manager in San Francisco. “I love this beautiful city,” she says, “and I am so proud to show our guests its very best every day and make sure they leave their hearts in San Francisco during every visit.”

Ripple lives in the Bay Area with her husband of 19 years, Ajeet, and their two children, Siyana and Raunaq. A fun fact: she has known her husband since they were toddlers.
