Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Ashley developed a passion for hospitality at an early age. Growing up in a family immersed in the service industry—with a father who worked as a chef and a mother who was a florist—he spent much of his childhood helping the family business, gaining an appreciation for the art of creating memorable experiences for guests.
Ashley began his hospitality career on Australia's Great Barrier Reef, where worked in guest services for P&O Resorts on Bedarra Island. It was there that he discovered a passion for guest service and the unique ability of hospitality to create lasting memories.
Ashley moved to Canada and quickly established himself within some of the country's most renowned mountain destinations. Beginning in guest services and front office operations at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge he went on to assume progressively senior leadership roles in Vancouver and Whistler, in Housekeeping, Reservations and Front Office.
Throughout his career, Ashley has been recognized for his dedication to both guests and colleagues. Early in his journey, he was honoured with the Colleague of the Year award at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, recognizing his commitment to service excellence and teamwork. Later, while at Fairmont Vancouver Airport, he was named Leader of the Year, a reflection of his passion for developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture built on genuine hospitality.
Most recently, Ashley served as Director of Rooms at the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs. In this role, he oversaw a team of more than 400 colleagues and leaders across the hotel's rooms division operations, including front office, housekeeping, concierge, reservations, guest services, and valet operations, supporting the operation of the landmark 725-room property.
Now part of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, Ashley brings more than two decades of international hospitality experience and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. His leadership philosophy is rooted in empowering teams, fostering genuine connections, and ensuring that every guest leaves with lasting memories.
"I have always admired Four Seasons since the day I started in this industry, and it is incredibly rewarding to now be part of the brand," says Ashley. "Creating memorable stays and helping guests make the most of their time away is a true privilege and one that I never take for granted."
Outside of the hotel, Ashley enjoys spending time with his family at the lake or on the slopes.
