Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Kristi Grotsch began her hospitality career as a graduate of George Brown College in Business Administration and Marketing. Having learned the importance of operational management, Kristi went on to lead a successful career at several luxury hotels and dining destinations holding positions such as banquet manager and director of food and beverage. Through her experience, training and dedication to improving the guest experience, Kristi moved on to provide operational leadership as director of quality improvement.
Later, Kristi took on the role of regional head of learning and development where she was based in Dubai and responsible for overseeing 15 luxury hotels in 10 countries across the Americas, the Middle East, Europe, and India. Moving back to Toronto, Kristi was named the area director of operational service excellence, Americas, providing leadership support and food and beverage expertise to all operational stakeholders. Kristi worked with hotel leadership to identify innovative opportunities to refine the guest experience and enhance the property’s competitive advantage. Kristi began her tenure with Four Seasons as Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto in 2022. Now the Hotel Manager for the property, Kristi brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her new role with the team.
Kristi is a food and wine enthusiast with a fascination for tea that led her to travel to Sri Lanka to become a certified tea sommelier. Her true serene retreat is camping in Ontario’s Algonquin Park or a thrill-seeking adventure.
