A Love of Travel and a Home with Four Seasons

A love of travel inspired Hotel Manager Igor Morosowski to study hotel management. Born in Ukraine and raised in Germany, Igor developed a love for travel and hospitality at a very young age. A promising career in competitive tennis brought Morosowski to Spain as a young adult, but it wasn’t long that Morosowski was pulled into the world of hotels and ultimately completed his hotel degree in Marbella before interning in glamorous locations such as Cannes and London.

A passionate communicator and a master linguist (speaking five languages fluently), Morosowski felt right at home at the front desk. “I love the front desk of a hotel, leading a team and making an impact on people’s lives every day. The first five minutes of the guest experience is crucial, and having a major impact on that is amazing,” says Morosowski.

Morosowski’s first position with Four Seasons was in Paris. “My time as a Night Manager at Four Seasons Georges V, Paris was an incredible experience that I will never forget.” Morosowski found a global home with Four Seasons and took the opportunity to transfer to Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, his first position in the United States. "Four Seasons has been very good to me. Developing me, giving me a sense of belonging and fulfilment. I feel like I am part of something bigger than just my role.”

The decision to move to Los Angeles would change his life as he met his wife Leigh while working at the Hotel. When the opportunity arose to lead the Rooms division at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, Morosowski recalls, “I am the luckiest man in the world that Leigh decided to leave everything to move across the world with me.”

Finding Personal and Professional Fulfilment

A few years later, Morosowski moved back to the United States, trading in the beaches of Bora Bora for the snowy winters of Jackson Hole. Starting as a Rooms Manager and then promoted to Resort Manager, Morosowski thrived professionally and personally as he became a father in early 2020.

“Being a dad is the best,” Morosowski says with a big smile. “I try to be fully present for my wife and daughter Gigi when I am with them. They are my favourite people to hang out with and I always look forward to our weekends together.” It is this balance between family life and professional fulfilment that drives Morosowski to be a more effective leader. “I want my teams to thrive personally as well as exceed at work.”

Guiding a hotel as prominent as Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC in the new travel environment is no easy task, but Morosowski is up to the challenge. “The people are what make Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC amazing. I have been with the company many years now, and we have people who have been with the company double the time I have. The amount of passion in this team is amazing and inspires me to be better every day.”
