Philippe Roux-Dessarps Appointed New General Manager of Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens

Philippe Roux-Dessarps has been appointed General Manager of the recently opened Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, bringing more than 25 years of international luxury hotel experience to this flagship Greek property.

Born in France, Philippe joins Four Seasons from the Park Hyatt Chicago where he held the position of general manager. Prior to his latest role, he was general manager of the Park Hyatt Tokyo for seven years, a vice-president of global brands for Hyatt corporate and has worked in luxury properties around the world, such as in Paris, Bali and London.

“I am humbled to join the formidable team of Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens. After less than a year in operation, the Hotel has already become a unique destination in the region. This is not only thanks to its spectacular setting, but first and foremost to its talented team,” he says.

Philippe holds an MBA from the global graduate business school INSEAD and is an alumnus from the prestigious Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne hospitality management school in Switzerland. He likes to embrace challenges in his personal life too, as an amateur pilot with a private license that allows him to fly whenever his spare time allows.

As the new General Manager, Philippe looks forward to creating a home in Athens with his wife and two daughters.
