Class is back in session, but leave the textbooks and calculators at home. Toki Sears, the lead bartender of the hip and modern Bar Margot at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, is hosting cocktail classes once monthly on Sundays from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

Aimed toward teaching cocktail fans how to shake and stir behind their at-home bar, the classes will differ based on spirit, season and trends.

Class attendees will enjoy Sears’ award winning cocktails with off-menu pairings from Bar Margot’s culinary team. Guests who attend the cocktail class are also invited to stay for dinner at Bar Margot and will receive 20 percent off on their dining experience.

Sears’ cocktail class will be hosted on the outdoor Fifth Floor Rooftop Terrace at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta and tickets cost USD 45 per person.  Participation includes two complimentary hours of valet parking.

“I’m excited to share the love I have for cocktails with people who genuinely share the same love and interest! This class will allow attendees to take what they learn here and apply it to their own cocktail creations, or recreate mine,” says Sears on her cocktail class.

Upcoming classes include:

  • Vodka vs. Gin Class on Sunday, September 15, 2019, tickets now available online
  • The Knock Out, tips on how to build cocktails with basic at-home ingredients, Sunday, October 20, 2019, tickets now available online
  • Cheers and Thankfulness, a Thanksgiving theme, on Sunday, November 10, 2019

Sears is the winner of the Peach Punch Royale at Peachfest 2019. She has more than 10 years of experience and is BarSmarts Advanced certified, BarSmarts Wired certified and TIPS certified. Sears brings southern hospitality to each creation, allowing her to thrive in the ever-changing cocktail scene in Atlanta. When she isn’t mixing up her next Missing Digit cocktail— a cocktail series in ode to the character Margot Tenenbaum in the critically-acclaimed film The Royal Tenebaums who Bar Margot is named after, one can find her exploring local restaurants, crocheting or meticulously judging cocktail competitions across the city. Sears has been featured in national and local media outlets such as Ebony, Atlanta Magazine, Simply Buckhead and eater.com.
