Whoopie (pies), music-inspired menus and more make for a memorable night

December 20, 2017,
Austin, U.S.A

Couples visiting Austin for Valentine’s Day will fall in love with newly renovated rooms and the many romantic events and offers available at Four Seasons Hotel Austin in February 2018. From a playful room package and sensory-filled spa treatment, available all month long, to a music-inspired multi-course dinner in TRIO, there’s a treat for every travelling twosome.

Whoopie (Pie) Package

Making whoopie – pies and bath fizzes, that is – is at the heart of the 2018 Valentine Sweets package, which includes two house-made whoopie pies along with a Whoopie! Cream Soothing Bath Fizz as a welcome amenity. Finishing off the playful package is a USD 100 Spa credit, valid toward any of the Hotel’s massages, facials or body treatments.

The Valentine Sweets Package starts at USD 645 per night and may be booked for February 1-28, 2018 arrivals. Reservations may be made online or by calling 512 685 8100.

Music-Inspired Valentine’s Menu

One need look no further than James Flowers’ rock roots to find the inspiration behind this year’s Valentine’s Day dinner menu at TRIO. The former band member and current Chef de Cuisine used music as his muse for each course, from an egg yolk ravioli starter (Bleeding Heart by Jimi Hendrix) to a coffee- and sugar-rubbed rib cap steak (Brown Sugar by The Rolling Stones). Executive Pastry Chef Amanda Pallagi Naim added to the playlist-on-a-plate with a housemade red velvet croissant donut garnished with cotton candy (Lips Like Sugar by Echo and the Bunnymen), one of two dessert options for the evening.

Offered on Wednesday, February 14 from 5:00 to 10:00 pm only, the meal will provide Valentine’s Day guests with an entire experience thanks to the accompanying Spotify playlist, available for listening leading up to and throughout the meal.

The Valentine’s Day dinner menu is USD 75 per person, or USD 95 per person for those who opt for the full wine pairing. Advance reservations are required and may be made by calling 512 685 8300.

Sensory Spa Treatment

All five senses will be stimulated with this one-of-a-kind Spa package. To start, guests will delight in an 80-minute Four Seasons Sensory Experience, an innovative mix of aromatherapy, acupressure, acu-flex and energy balancing chakra techniques that includes a detoxifying dry body brushing and a relaxing full-body massage.

Next up: an expert esthetician utilises brightening raspberry and anti-oxidant filled chocolate during a 50-minute raspberry-chocolate facial.

Available February 1-28, 2018 for USD 380 per person – a 12 percent savings off regular pricing – the experience includes a glass of Champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries post-treatment. Appointments may be scheduled by calling 512 685 8160.

La Vie en Rose in the Lobby Lounge

Known for being adept at amour, the French provide ample inspiration for this special Valentine’s Day event in the Lobby Lounge, taking place from 7:00 pm to 12:00 midnight on Wednesday, February 14. In addition to two different jazz bands, romantic revellers will enjoy a selection of French-inspired food and drinks. Tickets are available at the door for USD 25 per person and include one complimentary aperitif.

Outside the Hotel, guests can take advantage of convenient access to a wide range of romantic activities within easy driving or walking distance of the downtown Austin property. Live music, a sunset stroll on the Lady Bird Lake Hike & Bike Trail and bonding over Texas’ famous brisket are just a few options for a romantic vacation in Austin. The Hotel’s experienced Concierge is also readily available to assist with itinerary ideas – or for those looking to pop the question, a perfectly planned proposal.
