As hotels across the country gear up for winter weather, Four Seasons Hotel Austin is ready to make an autumn splash with the debut of its new pool, complete with intimate cabanas, enhanced views of Lady Bird Lake and a fully mobile beverage trailer ready to churn out creative concoctions.

“We are thrilled to showcase the new look of our outdoor spaces, the last puzzle piece of a hotel-wide renovation and a key part of our transformation into a true urban resort,” says Rob Hagelberg, General Manager of the 294-room Hotel situated on the shores of Lady Bird Lake.

Boasting more than 300 days of sunshine annually and mild fall and winter temperatures, Austin celebrates “pool season” year-round. This fact, combined with the fact the pool at Four Seasons Hotel Austin is continuously heated to 82°F, inspired designers to treat the new space as an all-year playground.

Among the new amenities guests will find to enhance an afternoon at the pool:

  • Comfortable, well-spaced lounge chairs, as well as plush daybeds spacious enough for two people;
  • Airy cabanas that present a private spot for sunbathing, reading or an afternoon nap;
  • Lush landscaping, which gives the area the feel of a garden oasis; and
  • Peekaboo views of Lady Bird Lake, visible through a custom cedar and stainless steel cable fence.

Perhaps most noteworthy, however, is a “watering hole” of an entirely different variety. Paying homage to Austin's laidback vibe and renowned food truck scene, the Hotel’s new Trinity Point hospitality space features intimate seating areas, a fire pit and a beverage trailer serving up an ever-rotating menu of refreshing drinks, ranging from frozen slushes to Austin-inspired cocktails. Various games, such as corn hole and giant Jenga, complete the scene.

During non-peak pool times, Trinity Point will also be available for rent as an event space, ideal for everything from micro-weddings and receptions to executive meetings and team-building retreats. Trinity Point is expected to be especially popular as catered functions move outdoors within the new COVID-19 environment.

“The possibilities are endless for this area, and already we have seen incredible demand for an expansive, lakeside event space that gives visitors a real taste of Austin,” says Hagelberg.
