Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus Welcomes 2020 in a Festive Spirit Full of Entertainment, Fun and Dynamism, Just Like the Pulse of Istanbul

Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus is ready to welcome the New Year with exclusive programs to celebrate the holiday season throughout December 2019. The Hotel turns into a winter resort for the season with its rich indoor and outdoor offerings. In a special corner of the lobby, guests will be offered warming drinks such as salep and hot chocolate, surrounded by festive decorations that reflect the spirit of the holidays. In addition to Christmas teas by the Hotel’s pop up shop Melez Tea, gingerbread cookies, candies and various nuts also enhance the holiday spirit. For those who want to enjoy the unparalleled beauty of the Bosphorus but also wish to spend time in a warm setting, the hotel features 14 glass heated igloos on the terrace, all decorated and glimmering with festive lights.

The Meeting Point in Istanbul: Winter City

Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus brings back the much loved Winter City, which was  launched last year. Starting on December 1, 2019, Winter City will present almost a fairytale setting with an ice skating rink, food and beverage stations serving street-style flavours, and fun outdoor activities for the children. Like last year, the ice skating rink will offer families with kids fun experiences in a winter setting by the breath-taking views of the Bosphorus.

Winter City will also be home to a special Christmas Market from December 21 to 29, 2019, bringing more joy to the holiday season with gift shopping opportunities as well as concerts, workshops and a number of performances. In the market that will be set up within the Winter City, products of well-known fashion, accessory and decoration brands will be sold in small huts. Christmas Market, which will also feature fun activities such as a merry-go-round, will welcome guests from 4:00 to 10:30 pm on weekdays, and between 12:00 noon and 5:30 pm on Saturdays, and 6:00– 11:00 pm on Sundays. Tickets for the event will be available on Biletix for city guests while guests in residence will be able to enjoy free entrance.

Christmas Celebrations

Sunday Festival Brunch on December 22, 2019 will be served in Aqua Restaurant, designed within a special Christmas setting. On December 24, 2019, a special four-course Christmas Dinner will be offered, and on December 25, 2019, a three-course Christmas Lunch will include authentic flavours of the holiday season. The appetisers that include tuna, duck and chicken liver pate, veal tartar and grilled octopus chops will be followed by duck capeletti, and then turkey wrap served with chestnuts, beef bacon, pumpkin, dried apricots and duck liver. These exclusive flavours will be complemented with warm chocolate cinnamon pumpkin cake served with homemade walnut ice cream.

A Memorable New Year’s Eve Dinner

Set on the shores of beautiful Bosphorus, Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus has prepared special programs for those who wish to welcome the New Year in a delightful atmosphere with delicious food and music. The New Year Gala Dinner, themed Mysterious Garden will be served in Hotel’s main restaurant Aqua, with a special six-course menu prepared by Head Chef Savaş Aydemir and his brilliant team. This feast of flavours will include marinated bonito; lobster poached with tangerine, ginger, coriander and butter; wild mushroom and pine-flavoured ravioli; grilled sea bass; oven-baked steak; and chestnut ball served with spicy carameliz\sed pear and lime merengue. Aqua, decorated as a mysterious garden in emerald green and golden tones, will present Özge Erdeniz and her band as well as solo saxophone DJ performance, entertaining guests in a party atmosphere.

For guests looking for a chic gala ambiance, the Hotel will also hold the Blaze In the Dark Gala Dinner in the Bosphorus Ballroom, where Danna Leese will perform while guests enjoy a special five-course menu. This exclusive New Year’s Eve menu will include smoked scallops; black truffle gnocchi; turbot fillet; steak; and manjari chocolate mousse with an exotic cream. The dinner will continue until the first hours of the New Year with live entertainment, dance shows, solo violin DJ performance and a special performance by Purple Hand Band.

First Brunch of 2020

The first brunch of the year will be served in the Aqua Restaurant from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm with a rich buffet of dishes from international and Turkish cuisine including delicious barbecue, doner kebab and cağ kebab, as Hande Ateş and her band will entertain guests.
