The Four Seasons Private Jet Experience Arrives at Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest for the First Time

International Intrigues journey will include Budapest again in 2018

Destination Budapest

The Hungarian Tourism Agency reports that Budapest holds increasing attraction for tourists.  There has been an incredible change in the past couple of years as Hungary's international tourism numbers grew by 16 percent. In January 2017, the number of nights spent by international tourists increased by 14 percent and that of nights spent by domestic tourists by 5.6 percent compared to a year earlier. Revenue grew by 16.5 percent to HUF 30.9 billion HUF.

Between January and May this year, room capacity-usage increased by 1.9 percent from 78.3 percent in April 2016 to 80.2 percent to May 2017.  In all, 1,587 guests and 3.670 room nights were registered, and increase of 10* percent compared to the first five months of 2016.

Business tourism is also doing very well.  In 2015, 19.7 of visitors to Budapest were travelling on business, with a  daily average spend of HUF 35,900, versus a daily average spend of leisure guests of HUF 25,400.  According to a report by the International Congress and Convention Association, Budapest stands 16th worldwide and 12th within the European ranking list.
