The all-new Four Seasons Hotel Dalian is now accepting reservations ahead of its anticipated opening on March 1, 2024.

“With each new addition to our growing portfolio of Four Seasons hotels in China, we are inspired by the people we get to know as we continue to shape the Four Seasons experience for travellers and our local guests,” says Rami Sayess, Four Seasons President, Hotel Operations – Asia Pacific.  “While Dalian is an important hub of business and industry in the region, we believe that its unique character and myriad opportunities to explore and discover the city’s cultural attractions are what will have our guests returning again and again.”

Arriving in the spectacular sky lobby on the 41st floor, guests will find a welcoming Lobby Lounge for a modern afternoon tea with friends or casual coffee or cocktails with business associates.  Also on this highest floor of the Hotel is Harbour Bar, a glamorous space offering premium whiskies and creative cocktails prepared by the city’s finest mixologists accompanied by an authentic tapas-style menu.

“It’s awe-inspiring to look out across the city and the waters that surround Dalian,” says Wayne Tan, a Four Seasons veteran taking on his first role as General Manager after many years’ experience at Four Seasons hotels in Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Macau and Hong Kong. “Dalian is fast-paced and future forward but also rich in history, very family-friendly and adorned with beautiful tree-lined streets and squares hold many surprises. I look forward to welcoming our first-time and longstanding guests to a new destination with the same care and service that many have come to know and expect from Four Seasons throughout China and beyond.”

Families, couples and solo travellers and local guests will find additional dining experiences on the floors below, including the signature Saai Yue Heen serving Cantonese specialities such as handcrafted dim sum, traditional Chinese barbecue and Peking duck prepared in a jujube (date) wood oven, as well as locally caught seafood showcased in a two-tier tank. Also available to enjoy are Japanese restaurant Yotsuba, all-day dining restaurant Hui Hai, and the charming, street-level bakery and delicatessen Fresca.

The 38th floor Spa and sea-view fitness centre boasts a striking infinity-edge pool that appears to spill into the cityscape below, while 254 guest accommodations, located on 23rd to 36th floors, offer every modern convenience in a luxurious and comfortable setting.  Flexible furnishings and thoughtful amenities make it easy to work productively or settle in for a relaxing holiday, and business travellers will appreciate the 33rd floor Executive Lounge, with its stunning sea views and exemplary Four Seasons service.

Event spaces, including two contemporary ballrooms fully-equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, are conveniently located on the 5th and 6th floors. With expert Four Seasons event planning and genuine care, wedding couples will enjoy stress-free celebrations while business events promise to be both productive and impressive.

Also of note is the Hotel’s ideal location just a 15-minute walk from the Dalian International Conference Center in the core of the Donggang Business District.

Reasons to Plan a Trip to Dalian Now

Well known to business travellers as one of Northeast Asia’s most important financial, shipping and logistics centres, Dalian is also renowned as one of the world’s top science cities, home to several important universities and research centres.  Since 2007, it has shared alternating host city duties with Tianjin for the Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the “Summer Davos” World Economic Forum.  Culture and design buffs come to Dalian for its fascinating history, including its well-preserved Japanese and Russian architectural heritage buildings and squares.

Dalian is also a popular year-round vacation destination, with lively beaches surrounding the city, nearby hot springs, multiple ski resorts just outside the city, and a variety of theme parks for all ages and interests.  Each spring, residents and visitors flock to Longwangtang Cherry Blossom Park, and the Dalian International Walking Festival in late May attracts participants from around the world to a city less crowded than others by bicycles and motorcycles.  An efficient metro system makes it easy to get around, and visitors will want to make a point of riding China’s second oldest working tram system with its picturesque vintage cars.  Route 201, for example, is a great way to get to Donggang on the city’s eastern shore, a must-see for its famous musical fountain, yacht marina, and for hosting the Dalian Beer Festival each summer.
