In Pursuit of the Perfect Paella, Four Seasons Resort Dubai Welcomes Eduardo Torres

The rice cultivation pioneer turned paella master will ply his trade at Suq and Shai Salon from May 2 to 4, 2022, as part of the Dubai Food Festival

Often, those who go against the grain achieve the exceptional. This is the philosophy of Eduardo Torres, whose generational expertise in cultivating the perfect rice grains has set his produce apart and opened doorways into Spain’s best Michelin starred kitchens. The Valencian who hails from a family of rice aficionados inherited his farms, Molino Roca, from his family who have been at the forefront of Valencian rice cultivation since 1903.

Following in his forefathers’ footsteps Edu’s involvement in the rice business travels full circle, from sowing to harvesting all the way through to the paella pan. From May 3 to 4, 2022, Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach welcomes Eduardo Torres to Suq and Shai Salon where he will be showcasing his mastery with two authentic paella recipes. This foodie experience comes at the perfect time to participate in Dubai Food Festival, which runs from May 2 to 15, 2022, dishing out culinary experiences and showcases from local and international kitchens across the city.

Over lunch, guests can teleport to the Valencian coast with Edu’s seafood paella or to the countryside with an authentic chicken paella. Dinner is also served, with the two paella creations taking centre stage, alongside a set menu of tapas and desserts including a burnt Basque cheesecake and dreamy Spanish churros with dark chocolate and matcha tea.

  • Lunch: From May 2 to 4, 2022, 1:00 to 4:00 pm - Paella station at Suq's Eid Feast (starting AED 400 per person)
  • Dinner: From May 2 to 4, 2022, 7:00 to 10:00 pm - Shai Salon - set menu featuring tapas, paellas and desserts, AED 350 per person
