Italian-Style Sunday Brunch at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze

A memorable food experience created by Michelin starred Chef Vito Mollica re-starting on October 1, 2017
September 18, 2017,
Florence, Italy

With the summer now a memory, there’s one event to be excited for: the return of Sunday Brunch at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze. Beginning Sunday October 1, 2017, the Hotel will welcome guests into the kitchens of its Michelin-starred restaurant Il Palagio for its popular brunch, loved by visitors and locals alike.

Executive Chef Vito Mollica and his team invite guests to their open kitchen every Sunday, where they can taste traditional Italian dishes served buffet-style and interact with the chefs. Featuring handpicked local ingredients, classic brunch favourites and authentic Florentine cuisine, a gourmet selection of cold cuts, cheeses, salads, fish and roasted meats, the Sunday Brunch offers a full immersion into Italy’s rich soil and best products. A children’s play area and a babysitter service make this moment a delectable and relaxed occasion for the entire family.

This new season will continue to highlight a new partner every Sunday, such as guest chefs and local suppliers, who will showcase their dishes, products and savoir-faire, as well as a guest champagne house chosen for its excellence. On Sunday, October 1, Vito Mollica will be joined by Simone Fracassi, a great craftsman of Tuscan pork products since 1927, who will bring his renowned Cinta Senese, together with the Champagne House Delamotte.

About Il Palagio

Il Palagio is a Michelin-starred Italian dining, a favourite among Florence restaurants for its traditional regional fare with a modern twist. Executive Chef Vito Mollica and his team have earned international acclaim for thoughtful preparation of the freshest local ingredients, in dishes such as the signature cavatelli pasta cacio e pepe with red prawns and marinated baby squids. Chef Vito and his brigade use the most exceptional local offerings, food that’s meant to be savoured with the Hotel’s equally outstanding wine list – about 1,000 exquisite wines, including 50 served by the glass. Il Palagio is located on the ground floor of the Palazzo Della Gherardesca. Once the Palazzo’s stable block, the room retains its original antique vaulted ceiling and numerous columns, creating an impressive dining area accented with colours of pale silver and jade. Large French doors open along two walls onto the western side of the garden where a terrace offers the option of al fresco dining.
