Four Seasons Hotel Firenze gets fancy for carnival season! Creative Director Vincenzo Dascanio has transformed the Hotel into a visual celebration with giant animals, feathers, masks and bursts of colour. Fabulous decorations surprise guests arriving at the Hotel, while the Atrium Bar unveils a carnival-themed menu for revellers who stop by for a cocktail and nibble.

Through the centuries, carnival has always been a moment to turn the world upside down. This year, Four Seasons Hotel Firenze has decided to join the party and greet its guests with decorations of floating masks and feathers in the lobby.  The iconic Atrium Bar has metamorphosed into a joyful menagerie of giant fabric animals wearing renaissance ruffs and masks. Amid this eclectic zoo, where a giant giraffe sits alongside a banana tree, Head Bartender Edoardo Sandri proposes four new cocktails to pair with sharing dishes by Executive Chef Paolo Lavezzini.

The aperitivo experience pays homage to famous carnivals in Venice, Viareggio, New Orleans and Rio de Janeiro.  For each city, Sandri and Lavezzini have worked together to create a cocktail/food pairing that perfectly embodies the destination’s spirit and flavours.

For Venice, a cocktail combining Tanqueray Ten, anis and chamomille is served with local coccoli with seaweed, mortadella and black truffle. Moving south towards the shores of Viareggio in Tuscany, a cocktail featuring Talisker, Marsala Superiore, tangerine, and vanilla is paired with typical focaccia with clams. Flying overseas, New Orleans’ iconic Mardi Gras is represented by a cocktail with Zacapa 23, choco donut, passion fruit and Perrier served with milk bread, flank and mustard mayonnaise. The legendary Rio de Janeiro parade is epitomized by a drink containing Ketel One, vintage port, and blood orange served with bolinho de bacalhau.

Colourful masks can also be found at The Spa, where carnival is conceived with a beauty approach: Gold Perfection is a facial treatment that bestows total radiance on the face through the refinement of 24-carat gold mask combined with powerful antioxidants and a luxurious face massage using citrine stones, for a long lasting glow.

This February, celebrate the Carnival season with the most delicious proposals and regenerating beauty treatments surrounded by a joyful, unexpected scenario. Bookings at +390552626505 - ilpalagio@fourseasons.com / Spa.firenze@fourseasons.com.
