Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong Presents Graceful Ways to Spend Mother’s Day

Hong Kong, China

Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong knows how to put a smile on a discerning mother’s face. For the first two weeks of May 2018, The Lounge collaborates with Lalique, the luxury French crystalware manufacturer, offering an elegantly themed afternoon tea set in The Lounge. It's a divine afternoon for ladies to indulge in the works of the Hotel’s chefs and exquisite crystalware.

When Heritage Meets Patisserie

Lalique is synonymous with crystals and their timeless creations epitomise unparalleled craftsmanship, turning them into a collector’s favourite.  2018 marks their 130th anniversary, which is the perfect moment to reinterpret founder René Lalique’s swallow motif, a symbol of happiness and freedom, in their latest collection. To mark the occasion, Executive Pastry Chef Ringo Chan has crafted a selection of decadent sweets and pastries as part of the afternoon tea set in homage to the artistry of Lalique for this year’s Mother’s Day, using the swallow as inspiration.

From May 5 to 13, from 3:00 to 5:30 pm daily, guests will be able to admire their latest celebratory crystal collection at The Lounge, while enjoying the afternoon tea set crafted by Chef Ringo. Along with scones and a posh tea selection, Chef Ringo has created new desserts drawing inspiration from Lalique. The champagne and vanilla strawberry cake is a gourmet representation of transparency in crystals and the brand’s aesthetic in light. The Sicilian lemon olive oil cake pop attributes founder René Lalique’s inspiration from flora, fauna and female form.

Mothers who visit The Lounge for afternoon tea during the promotional period will receive a complimentary scented candle from Lalique as a keepsake. Weekday prices for afternoon tea at The Lounge are HKD 285 solo and HKD 540 for two people; weekend prices are HKD 305 solo and HKD 585 for two people. On May 13, there will be a special dessert buffet priced at HKD 410 per person. Note that all prices are subject to 10 percent service charge.
