Iconic Dream Weddings and Intimate Events Reimagined at Four Seasons Hotel Houston

Luxury hotel to debut extensive ballroom and event space transformation in January 2021

Four Seasons Hotel Houston has announced the next phase of renovations that will boldly transform and expand the Grand Ballroom, meeting and event spaces throughout the hotel. Award-winning designer Meyer Davis was tapped once again to build upon their successful design for the Hotel lobby – lovingly referred to as “Houston’s Living Room.”

In addition to redesign, the previous pre-function areas of the ballroom were reconfigured into the space to create a new Grand Ballroom with 150 percent more gathering space within the Hotel. With the addition of sliding partitions, these rooms may now breakdown into smaller spaces to host concurrent events of varying sizes.

Pre-function, ballroom, and meeting spaces will act as an extension of the moody, warm, and inviting interiors of the lobby level. A seamless continuation of design is showcased through the use of walnut wood panelling, touches of brass and oil rubbed bronze, and the expansion of rich rug artwork. Grand walnut doors with bronze metal portals and hardware are flanked by architectural light fixtures, creating an organised rhythm throughout the atrium. Navy leather wall panels and crisp wallcovering clad all ballroom areas, which are finished with custom light fixtures - fabricated with the same specialty glass showcased in the Hotel’s lobby columns. Silvery drapery fabrics and refined furnishings complete the spaces.

The addition of stylish break out furnishings and a renovation of guest restrooms rounds out the design. Vanities boast beautiful calacatta moonlight marble, water closets are clad in moody blue tiles, and brass light fixtures complete the rooms. Altogether, the renovation extends the striking and tactile elegance of the ground floor public areas, an homage to modern Texas style.

The realisation of this phase of renovation further completes the vision to combine modern, industrial design elements with the posh sensibility of Houston, creating fashionable and bold settings fit for the iconic Four Seasons brand.

“We are thrilled to welcome in a new era for events and catering with the debut of our beautiful new Grand Ballroom,” says Andrea Oltjen, Director of Catering and Conference Services. “With Four Seasons legendary service and our newly redesigned guest rooms and suites, we are pleased to offer an elevated urban oasis experience and exceed our guests’ expectations for weddings and special events.”
