Four Seasons Resort Hualalai - the only Five-Star, Five-Diamond Resort on Hawaii Island - announces the appointment of Brady Riggs as Hualalai Golf Hale’s Director of Instruction. In this role, Riggs will lead and oversee operations at the Resort’s recently debuted Hualalai Golf Hale, a 3,000-square-foot (280 square metre) facility dedicated to bringing together cutting-edge technology and training from a team of elite golf instructors for Hualalai Club members, homeowners and Resort guests. This is the first and only facility in Hawaii of its kind.

“We are thrilled to welcome Brady Riggs as Director of Instruction for our new Hualalai Golf Hale,” states Four Seasons Resort Hualalai Director of Golf Brendan Moynahan. “Brady is a highly regarded industry veteran. Combining his instruction expertise with the advanced technology and capabilities of our golf academy, he will bring many positive enhancements to Hualalai.”

With more than 30 years of experience in golf instruction, Riggs is well poised to lead the Hualalai Golf Hale. For the past 13 years, Riggs has been named as one of GOLF Magazine’s prestigious Top 100 Teachers in America, and GOLF.com regularly features him in their training and instruction videos online. He has also published more than 200 articles for Golf Tips Magazine and has appeared on the cover more than 12 times. In 2017, Riggs was inducted into the Southern California PGA Teaching Hall of Fame.

Riggs joins Four Seasons Resort Hualalai from Hansen Dam Golf Course in Pacoima, California. While there, he created a new training facility and established innovative practice plans to expedite player development and improvement in all areas of the game. Prior to Hansen Dam, Riggs served as Director of Instruction at Woodley Lakes Golf Course in Van Nuys, California where he developed a reputation of excellence in golf instruction. Riggs has groomed more than 50 NCAA Division I golfers and one of his students, Danielle Kang, won back to back US Amateur titles and reached #1 in the World Amateur Rankings. He has worked with Tour players from the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions, Korn Ferry Tour, Asian Tour and Mackenzie Tour and has been a PGA Tour Instructor since 2016.

The Hualalai i Golf Hale is located at the driving range serving the Hualalai Golf Course, the first Jack Nicklaus Signature Course on Hawaii Island, known for its famed 17th hole that offers a green that “touches the ocean.” Among instruction services, programming includes on-course lessons, mini golf schools, full-day retreats, multi-student lessons, indoor “learn and play” sessions using TrackMan flight simulation, fittings and other, custom programs.

Three hitting bays line the side of the facility along the range, while two outside bays are open for individuals to hit onto the range, functioning as private classrooms with their doors down. Each bay features TrackMan launch monitors, and the entire practice area is also fitted with TrackMan Range, allowing those playing on their own to record their statistics through a free mobile app.  The middle bay hosts the Topgolf Swing Suite, an indoor teaching studio featuring a golf simulator and lounge. The only offering of its kind in Hawaii, the tech-laden Swing Suite combines food, fun, serious instruction, and a menu of games, both golf and non-golf, designed for all ages. The building’s lounge and comfort station boast a full kitchen, beverages, snacks and various sitting areas with large-screen TVs. The Golf Hale also features a small merchandise area, selling equipment such as gloves and balls.
