Five Star Five Diamond resort opts for virtual charity run and invites participants from around the world to join the race

September 14, 2020,
Hawaii, Hualalai, U.S.A.

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is proud to host the 24th Anniversary Run for Hope with all proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society Hawaii Pacific and Friends of the University of Hawaii Cancer Center.  Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has been committed to supporting this cause since the original Terry Fox run in 1980, and Hualalai continues this tradition. This year, the race will be held virtually due to the current limitations of travel and group event size. The virtual race will allow participants worldwide to be a part of the Resort’s annual tradition.

On Sunday, October 11, 2020, the Resort will host a virtual 5K and 10K run/walk. Participants can sign up for either distance, and will have from 12:00 midnight HST to 12:00 noon HST to complete the race and enter their times. At 2:00 pm HST, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai will broadcast a live closing ceremony with canoe paddle and orchid dedication for those affected by cancer; awards; and the announcement of the raffle winner. Four Seasons Resort Hualalai has donated a two-night stay with food and beverage credit, activities, and more for the grand raffle prize. Orchid dedications and raffle tickets are available for purchase separate from the registration.

Included in the registration for the race is a Four Seasons Resort Hualalai Run For Hope 2020 hat, which will be mailed directly to each participant. Hualalai is encouraging runners and walkers to send photos and videos of race day to the Resort’s Instagram account (@FSHualalai) or Facebook (Four Seasons Resort Hualalai) for a shared online experience.

The registration for the 5K or 10K run/walk is USD 50 or USD 30 for kama’aina. The orchid dedication is USD 5 per orchid and the raffle tickets are USD 10 each. To register for the event, purchase a dedication or raffle ticket, click here.
