A Wild Forest Unfolds on the Walls of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole

November 23, 2018,
Jackson Hole, U.S.A.

With an evolving art exhibit, a Back Studio Pass, future private dinner party experiences and custom designed skis, the artist in residence experience at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole is reaching new heights this winter season.

While Jackson Hole was enjoying a sleepy fall slumber, local artist Amy Ringholz was busy orchestrating a wild and vibrant forest bringing the walls of the Ascent Lounge to life with new art installations reflecting her signature style. A curious fox, hungry bear and peaceful young moose are to name a few of Jackson’s iconic wildlife that will now adorn the Lounge walls. Pieces are available for purchase to guests and therefore will change and shift throughout the winter season, creating a bi-monthly evolving art show experience.  As the artist in residence, Amy will also be making appearances in the lounge and guests are encouraged to engage with her as she works on one of her many pieces.

“I like to invite my audience to actually become a part of my piece and allow them the opportunity to love art again and inspire creativity within," says Amy.

For an authentic and unforgettable experience, guests are invited to join Amy at her studio. This exclusive “Back Studio Pass” provides the opportunity to create alongside Amy or sit back and be an active spectator. Transportation and refreshments are provided by Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole. All trips are booked through the concierge team and require a minimum of 48 hours notice. The experience is customisable from an intimate gathering to larger groups.

“There is so much local talent in our little valley and we are really excited to be spotlighting Amy and partnering with her on these new initiatives,” say Cory Carlson, Director of Sales and Marketing.

Amy has also designed the top sheet to the Resort’s new custom designed skis, made locally by Sego Ski Company. Her iconic style bring new meaning to “where the wild things are” as glimpses of her animals will be seen this winter gliding through endless runs of fresh snow.

An official launch party will be held on December 19, 2018 in the Ascent Lounge.

About The Artist

Amy Ringholz, 40, is originally from Ohio, but built her name as a contemporary wildlife artist over the past sixteen years in Jackson Hole. She spent a decade showing in prestigious galleries throughout the west, until she was awarded the featured artist of the famed Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival in September of 2012.  She broke barriers and boundaries by being the youngest to ever be chosen and the first woman artist in thirteen years. In trying to top herself, Amy created her first museum show, Rise Of The Fenix, which opened at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in the summer of 2014.  In the meantime, she transitioned from traditional gallery representation to self-representation to have the creative freedom to make more dynamic and extravagant artwork and openings that she has coined “Fenixes.” Most recently, inspired by partnering with Four Seasons, she has begun to push herself and her business in new directions creating intimate exclusive art related experiences that will be unveiled throughout 2019.
