With exclusive Private Retreats, ranging from two to four bedrooms, guests seeking to rent a home-away-from-home now have a new address in Koh Samui, Thailand. A true reflection of the idyllic island life, Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui is renowned among the world’s best for family vacations, allowing for adults to enjoy a much-needed break while ensuring that the entire family has a memorable time together.

“We offer a variety of enriching, fun and safe experiences for children including a dedicated Kids for All Seasons program that keeps young travellers entertained throughout their stay,” says Macall Newman, Director of Rooms & Residences. In addition to expansive accommodation, the Private Retreats come with indoor and outdoor living areas, dining rooms, private pools and open-air pavilions designed for relaxation.

“Our live-in butlers will take care of every detail, while the Private Chef program allows guests to enjoy special family meals in the comfort of the residence,” she adds.

The recently launched Private Retreats Weekly Stay offer includes a special rate for stays of seven nights or more, round-trip airport transfers, a live-in butler, evening canapes at the residence, buffet breakfast for two adults per room, welcome bottle of wine, and 10 percent savings on laundry service.

“There’s so much to discover – both within the Resort and on the island of Koh Samui – during your time with us,” says Macall, sharing highlight experiences for the week-long stay.

Day 1: “The waters around the Resort are home to vibrant coral gardens and rich marine life, waiting to be discovered and appreciated by explorers from around the world,” she says. Guests can snorkel with our in-house marine biologist Benjawan Sansittisakunlird, or choose to learn more about the Resort’s Coral Conservation Project from the expert.

Day 2: “For an evening of blissful relaxation, I recommend sailing the warm tropical seas, with front-row seats to catch the sunset,” smiles Macall. “Watch the changing colours of the sky on board your private charter – Siam Seas - sipping wine coolers and cocktails!”

Day 3: The dining experience at the Private Retreats is elevated with the Resort’s team of chefs bringing its expertise to the comfort of the residences. “Guests can choose Southern Thai, Chinese, Italian or even a BBQ feast in their accommodation,” explains Macall. The team of chefs, led by Executive Chef Renato Rizzi, will curate menus based on the family’s preferences to make sure the "dining at home" experience is memorable.

Day 4: “We have more than 130 rums in our collection at Asia’s first Rum Vault,” smiles Macall. Housed near CoCoRum, this meticulously curated library of spirits offers guests rum flights of signature sugarcane blends. “This incredible collection has been made possible through generous contributions by Four Seasons guests from across the globe,” she adds.

Day 5: Guests can discover the beauty and tranquility of the islands that dot the Gulf of Thailand with a private charter. “This full day experience on your very own luxury boat takes you to the jungle-clad islands of Angthong Marine National Park, where you can hike to The View Point Emerald Lake of Thalae Nai. Head to the best snorkelling and diving spots at Koh Wao or simply anchor off a remote beach for a day of pure tropical relaxation,” suggests Macall.

Day 6: “Jump into our sea-facing outdoor Muay Thai ring to train with our professional Muay Thai kick-boxer for a truly Thai experience!” she recommends. This Muay Thai adventure includes learning the nuances of kick-boxing and even watching a ring-side fight with VIP seats.

Day 7: No vacation is complete without spa indulgences and at The Secret Garden Spa, guests can immerse in the healing therapies inspired by Thailand’s rituals and expressed through locally-grown ingredients. “Wellbeing can be interpreted in many ways. Our day-long Reason To… program gives you an opportunity to dedicate a whole day to nourish, pamper, play or sleep – depending on what 'wellbeing’ means to you,” shares Macall. From a Lava Shell Massage on the beach and yoga, to meditation and 3-hour spa rituals, guests can spend a whole day of indulgence at the Resort.
