Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Join Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur for a delicious voyage across the sea, to the Indonesian archipelago. Between October 7 and 13, 2019, the Hotel presents Indonesian Food and Culture Week, organised in collaboration with the Embassy of Indonesia in Kuala Lumpur. Explore a vibrant medley of flavours from different regions of the country, while cultural performers give guests a taste of their rich artistic heritage.

Guests can savour a selection of Indonesian cuisine as part of the sumptuous daily lunch and dinner buffet at Curate. The menu features specialties from across the archipelago – from the spice-rich broth and tender meat of sop buntut (Javanese oxtail soup), to the slow-cooked succulence of bebek betutu (ceremonial Balinese roast duck). Sample beloved recipes such as ayam bakar taliwang (grilled chicken with lombok spices), siomay bandung (hawker-style steamed dumplings), and pindang udang (shrimp bowl with fresh herbs) crafted by Chef Robert Wisnu Untoro, who has flown in for the event from the island of Java.

Chef Wisnu scores high not only as a master of Indonesian food but also as a DJ, keeping diners entertained while turning out dishes with a sizzling flair. Brunch enthusiasts are sure to love this extra-special edition of Four Seasons Weekend Brunch, elevated by exotic tastes and lively rhythms. The Indonesian-themed décor creates a festive mood, making it a great spot to unwind with family and friends on the weekend of October 12-13, 2019.

The airy, elegant interiors of Curate also provide the perfect setting for classical performances in the evening by Indonesian artists. During dinner, guests can enjoy the percussive melodies of gamelan, a musical ensemble that combines influences from Java and Bali, and appreciate the graceful movements of traditional dancers. Afterwards, browse a range of beautiful batik and other authentic crafts at the Indonesian bazaar.

The price for the Indonesian Food and Culture Week is MYR 157 nett for weekday lunch buffet, MYR 189 nett for daily dinner buffet, MYR 98 nett for Super Saturday Buffet and MYR 210 nett for Sunday Bubbly Brunch.
