Four Seasons Resort Langkawi Appoints New Spa & Wellness Director

Dr. Kannan Nettath has been appointed as the new Director of Spa and Wellness of the Geo Spa at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. In his new position, Dr. Kannan will lead a team of qualified therapists of the property and will oversee the menu of services including massages, treatments, fitness, gym, yoga experiences, and bespoke Guide to Harmony rituals as well as other seasonal programs inspired by the elemental energies of the Langkawi UNESCO Geopark. 

Dr. Kannan brings with him a 15 years of experience in the spa and hospitality industry. Prior to joining Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, Dr. Kannan served as director of spa and fitness at The Ritz Carlton Bangalore. Under his leadership the spa was voted as “Best Hotel Spa 2016" by Asia Spa Awards and the "Best Ritz-Carlton Spa & Fitness Center for Guest Satisfaction for APAC & China for 2016" by Gallup.  
 
A Four Seasons alumni, Dr. Kannan had previously served as Spa Manager of Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru and Assistant Director of Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, being part of pre-opening teams of both in his five year tenure with the company. Kannan has been associated with prestigious hospitality brands such as Kempinski, Anantara and Taj Hotels in his career.  
 
Dr. Kannan holds a Bachelors Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from the University of Kerala, India and a MBA in Business Management from the University of Wales, United Kingdom. He also holds International Diplomas in Yoga, Body & Beauty Therapy and Sports Sciences. His extensive knowledge and experience not only in Ayurveda and Western treatments but also in yoga, beauty and fitness centre functions and management makes him just the perfect fit for the role.
