Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita has received a 2022 Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Award in the category of Best Golf Resorts in Africa and the Middle East, thanks to all pool villa accommodation offerings, a wide range of dining and recreation activities and access to two championship golf courses for all guests.

Located just a five minute drive from the Ernie Els Design course at Anahita Golf Club and a 10 minute boat ride from the Bernhard Langer designed course at Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club, Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita provides golfers with convenient access to both courses and either complimentary or preferential green fees throughout any stay, dependent on the offer booked.

This latest recognition sees the Resort once again listed as a world-class location for golfing vacations, with diverse dining and leisure experiences – ranging from tennis to cycling, cooking classes, water sports, spa and more – complementing time on the course or providing adventure and relaxation to any non-golfing family members or friends.

Regional Vice President and General Manager Sebastien Carre says: “It’s wonderful recognition to once again be listed by the Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Awards. Our Resort is directly associated with two championship courses just a few minutes away, and while these remarkable courses are appealing in their own right, where we strive to make a real distinction for our guests is how we cater to their needs during their stay. Whether that is assistance in booking tee times and coordinating boat or golf shuttle transfers, arranging early in-villa breakfasts ahead of the day’s first tee times, or recommending tailored sports massages at the Spa to ease muscle tension, we aim to customise every stay to suit our guests’ personal preferences, leaving them with the maximum amount of time to relax and enjoy.”

In addition to the golfing facilities available, the Resort recently expanded its culinary offerings with a partial restaurant and bar renovation to now provide five different restaurants and the brand new Blu’Zil bar, which is home to hand-crafted cocktails and sweeping views out to the Indian Ocean lagoon.

With six oceanfront holes and wide open fairways, the 7,500 yard, par-72 Ernie Els championship course welcomes players of all levels. Each hole features six tee boxes to provide a choice of distance to suit every golfer. Furthermore, practice facilities include a driving range, chipping and putting greens, a golfing academy and for Four Seasons Resort guests, a daily, complimentary golf initiation for beginners.

On Ile aux Cerfs, the signature course by Bernhard Langer covers 38 hectares (94 acres) on the southern part of the island, with holes snaking up and down, boasting naturally undulating topography, volcanic rock crop tops, lakes and gullies. The par-72 course has four sets of tees and facilities include a full driving range with target greens, putting greens, chipping and bunker area.

Golf is available complimentary or at a preferential rate to all guests staying in all pool villa accommodation at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita, including green fees, balls at the driving range and access to all practise facilities.
