Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley, the newly opened luxury resort in charming Calistoga set within a working winery, announces the opening of its distinctive spa concept, Spa Talisa. A wine country escape for holistic rejuvenation, Spa Talisa features an array of therapeutic offerings that guide guests through an unparalleled wellness journey that pays homage to Calistoga’s 150-year history as a prolific spa destination. Spa Talisa was designed as a tranquil oasis centred on healing for the mind and body.

Spa Director Natalie Posner is at the helm of the experience, merging her passion for contemporary science and self-care to guide Spa Talisa’s one-of-a-kind offerings. “Uniquely situated amid the vineyards with endless opportunities to use native ingredients and draw upon the natural environment, I’m thrilled to act as a guide to our guests as they seek to strengthen both their body and mind at Spa Talisa,” Posner remarks. “With our industry-leading skincare partners who truly care about incorporating the best organic, home-grown ingredients into their products, coupled with our luxurious custom treatments and ample relaxation spaces, Spa Talisa is elevating the modern spa experience to new heights.”

Spa Talisa boasts eight well-appointed treatment rooms for an array of intuitive practices, including multiple relaxation spaces and peaceful lounges that overlook the vineyards and nearby mountain ranges. In addition to indoor offerings, guests can indulge in several al fresco experiences, such as the Spa Garden with a sunken whirlpool that is heated in the winter and cooled during the summer; private patios with misting decks for a unique locally-inspired experience; and sunning decks used for the self-application of their Calistoga-inspired mud experience – created to draw toxins and impurities from the body with indigenous, mineral-rich volcanic ash.

Surrounded by acres of lush vineyards, Spa Talisa’s robust menu features a number of wine-inspired treatments, including the Vineyard Scrub, which utilises the healing power of grape seeds – rich in antioxidants and polyphenols – and olive oil, to help neutralise and eliminate harmful free radicals on the skin. Additional remedial treatments include the Brave Spirit Body Ritual, which exercises the mind and body with a grounding foot soak, aura cleanse by way of sage spritz and feather wisp, followed by an invigorating marine algae and salt scrub and a detoxifying thermal mud balm to sooth and nourish the skin; a fully body Serenity Massage; the hydrating Bountiful Earth Wrap that harnesses the benefits of essential oil-anointed thermal mud; the Perfect Pair couple’s massage; and curative facial therapies such as the Splendid Glow Facial, which incorporates plant-based products to energise the skin from the inside out.

For top-of-the-line skincare, Spa Talisa tapped Napa-based boutique skincare brand LIV + GRACE SKINCARE, and Italy’s 100 percent nontoxic molecular luxury skincare system Seed to Skin, which both serve as the foundation of premium facial and body treatments offered to guests. Founded by holistic esthetician and Napa resident Cindy O’Brien, the LIV + GRACE SKINCARE line is comprised of minimal yet effective products that incorporate intentional dosages of natural, high quality, and toxin-free ingredients without artificial fragrances. Spa Talisa’s Botanical Bliss Facial serves as the premier LIV + GRACE treatment, which promotes wellness, builds collagen synthesis and detoxifies the skin. Pioneered by founder Jeanette Thottrup alongside pharmacist and cosmetologist Anna Buonocore, the Tuscany-based Seed to Skin takes a 360-degree approach to beauty and wellness, focusing on the highest-quality, organic, sustainable and wild ingredients that are suitable for all skin types. Terry Prager, Seed to Skin’s Global Operations Manager, comments, “We are thrilled to be partnering with the incredible Four Seasons Resort Napa Valley, as our ethos of utilising the best raw ingredients nature has to offer, similar to the wine making process, aligns all too well; we look forward to introducing our products to the guests of Spa Talisa as part of their overall path to wellness.”

Guests also have the opportunity to unwind in individual men's and women's changing rooms and garden areas, enjoy manicure and pedicure services in the Nail Bar, and shop for curated retail items at the spa boutique. Exercise enthusiasts can start or end their day at the Resort’s state-of-the-art 24-hour fitness centre, complete with vineyard views, Technogym equipment, and a robust schedule of programming in the movement studio as well as outdoor classes.
