In celebration of Global Wellness Day, an annual international initiative dedicated to living well, Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina presents collection of fitness activities designed to reset, sweat and live well with renowned fitness instructor Tahiti Hernandez Kemper.  On June 12, 2021, the Resort invites guests to begin their wellness journey with a series of high-energy and adrenaline-infused classes led by Kemper, including a virtual live stream class, at Naupaka Spa and Wellness Centre.

“We are honoured to have Tahiti Kemper join us for Global Wellness Day and bring her infectious energy, enthusiasm and fitness expertise to motivate us, but also invest in our own self-care,” notes Christi Armstrong, Director of Naupaka Spa and Wellness Centre at Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina.  “Like many, Tahiti is a busy mother of four young boys and her dedication to staying physically and mentally well, and the importance of carving out time for one’s self, is truly inspiring.”

Born and raised in Hawaii, Kemper specialises in performance training at her North Shore fitness studio, Uproar Fitness.  Married to World Champion Big Wave surfer Billy Kemper, her clientele includes an impressive roster ranging from world-class athletes to hardworking mothers.  She has designed three unique and approachable fitness classes that focus on strength training and endurance, allowing guests to sweat, reset and make moves.  The classes are complimentary for guests.

The Global Wellness Day Schedule includes:

  • 8:30-9:15 am - LIT (Low Impact Training) Strength and Resistance Class on the Ocean Lawn overlooking the Pacific Ocean
  • 10:00-10:45 am - Let's Ride - Spin Class at Naupaka Spa & Wellness Centre
  • 12:00 noon - 12:20 pm - Virtual Live Stream Fitness Class via @FSOahu Instagram

“Naupaka Spa and Wellness Centre is a haven where guests can invest in self-care, rejuvenate, and most importantly - allow one’s personal wellness journey to begin,” notes Armstrong.  “Self-care has always been vital to our overall health, however after the past year, now more than ever it is critical for our own individual healing paths – or as we say at the Spa, our 'quest for wholeness' to nurture the mind, body and soul to achieve optimum physical and mental health.  Global Wellness Day is a reminder of the importance of living well, each and every day.”

In addition to Kemper’s fitness series, guests are invited to reset and rejuvenate at Naupaka Spa and Wellness Centre with new physically distanced indoor and outdoor fitness offerings, including morning yoga on the Ocean Lawn, five Har-tru clay tennis courts, and readapted spa treatments grounded by Four Seasons Lead With Care safety practices. Naupaka Spa offers private, open-air outdoor hale (traditional huts) that overlook the Pacific Ocean for massage treatments. The Spa also features a 10,000 square foot (930 square metre) indoor and outdoor fitness facility featuring state-of-the-art weight training and equipment, including a collection of Peloton Bikes and an outdoor lap pool.

For those looking to unwind, Armstrong recommends Naupaka Spa’s signature experience - Quest for Wholeness, which allows for a personalised self-care journey. As with its namesake, the transformative experience creates a connection for the body and soul to feel complete in the quest for wholeness through customised treatments, including back, scalp, hands, feet and face.  The Quest for Wholeness treatment begins with an authentic and personalised ritual to meet the individual’s needs. Guided by ancient Hawaiian wisdom, native plants and ola – meaning life, health and well-being - guests set an intention for wholeness at the start of the treatment. As part of the experience, guests also select one of two signature scents, Mauka or Makai, in body treatments that feature a bespoke line of Naupaka Spa’s body butters and polishes, cleansing bars and essential oils.
