Prague, Czech Republic

Easter is on the menu at CottoCrudo restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Prague on Sunday, April 21, 2019 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The ever-popular Easter brunch returns to CottoCrudo, providing a genuine Czech experience with a unique folklore program honouring classic Czech traditions. Highlights that guests can expect will be performances by folk singers Muzička and the highly skilled dancers from the Hrozénka group from the folklore dancing company Rosénka. An abundance of Easter eggs will be on hand ready for decorating and there is even a chance to make the traditional braided whip called pomlázka. Children will have fun throughout the afternoon with a number of Easter-themed activities lined up.

Executive Chef Leonardo Di Clemente and his team will prepare a delightful menu filled with delicious Easter treats. Italian specialties – including a mozzarella, fish and seafood bar; Prague ham, cold cuts and cheese counter; and a salad corner – will be on hand. This festive brunch will also feature classic Czech Easter dishes, such as festive hot cross buns (mazanec), roasted lamb, and several meat delicacies combined with eggs, pastry and special Easter stuffing. Children will be able to enjoy their own buffet. To top off the brunch, an exciting selection of desserts will be on offer.

The afternoon is set to be jam-packed with fun and festive games. Easter is never complete without the traditional egg hunt and guests will be able to practice their artistic skills by hand-painting their own Easter eggs, which Czechs call kraslice. These kraslice are the traditional symbol of Easter in the Czech Republic: cooked eggs or eggshells that are beautifully coloured and decorated by girls, which are then given to boys on Easter Monday as a reward for teasing the girls with braided whips called pomlázky. Easter pomlázky are made from pussy willow twigs and are thought to bring health and youth to anyone who is whipped with them. Guests will be able to make their own pomlázky during the Sunday program.

Easter brunch is priced at CZK 1,900 per person, CZK 885 for kids under 13 years.
