Santa Fe, U.S.A.

Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe is celebrating summer with the debut of new adventure, cultural, wellness and culinary offerings, making Santa Fe a must-visit spot this season and transforming the Resort into a rarefied retreat in The City Different.

Rancho Encantado, recently recognized by Travel + Leisure as one of the top 500 hotels in the world in its T+L 500 2022 list, is an enchanting escape comprised of 65 intimate casitas set within a vast 57 rolling acres (26 hectares) in the Sangre de Cristo foothills. Summer rates at the luxury boutique Resort start at USD 915 and new this season are fully customized experiences tailored to every type of traveller, including adventurers, culture seekers and foodies.

Nicknamed the Land of Enchantment for the state’s otherworldly landscapes and natural wonders, Four Seasons Resort Santa Fe provides immersive experiences with its Adventure Center, the only one of its kind in the city. The onsite centre is led by expert guides that trek the state alongside guests to provide up-close experiences across an array of adventurous pursuits.

The new tours include Journey to Abiquiu. The ultimate self-care excursion is a blend of wellness with adventure in a hike-to-yoga meditation experience exclusively available to Resort guests with it exploring private land inaccessible to the general public. Incorporated is a visit to Plaza Blanca, a hidden gem with stunning scenery and towering hoodoos that was once the muse of the legendary artist Georgia O’Keeffe. The tour begins with a smudging ceremony, followed by intention setting and a scenic hike amid the awe-inspiring vistas, all leading to an hour of expert-guided yoga practice and mandala meditation.

A selection of electric bike tours is also launching this season, which allow for the exploration of the city and more treacherous topography regardless of fitness level. The e-bike excursions include Pacheco Canyon, an uphill tour that climbs into the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains before soaring back down; Valles Caldera that dives into the supervolcano in the Jemez Mountains and is complete with wildlife watching opportunities; along with the City Tour for those seeking to explore more of Santa Fe.

A cultural mecca, Santa Fe is synonymous with artistic ventures and home to some of the country’s most prestigious art markets along with the world-renowned Santa Fe Opera. Now, Four Seasons Resort Santa Fe is debuting a brand-new Art Concierge program to complement the city’s cultural marvels, plus a sophisticated opera tailgating package to celebrate the company’s 65th season.

The Art Concierge service is complimentary for Resort guests and includes a consultation with Mike McKosky, owner of InArt Santa Fe. The consultation, complete with a champagne toast, will assist guests with scheduling appointments at galleries throughout Santa Fe catered to individual interests. The program is launching in time to supplement the city’s summer art festivals, such as the International Folk Art Market (July 6-10), Traditional Spanish Market (July 30-31) and the centennial celebration of the Santa Fe Indian Market (August 20-21). For a special Santa Fe spin on the traditional tailgate, operagoers can enjoy the return of the Santa Fe Opera with the Resort’s Opera Tailgate package, which includes a picnic menu and posh picnic furniture. A curated prix fixe menu is also available on opera performance nights at the Resort’s restaurant.

For a wellness retreat, the Spa is premiering poolside treatments, such as Floating/Stand-Up Paddleboarding Yoga for an invigorating yoga practice on state-of-the-art stand-up paddleboards and Floating/Stand-Up Fitness with body weight exercises balanced on paddleboards. Additional treatments include the Coconut Scalp Soothie for a soothing scalp massage, the SOS Soother that relieves sun-burned skin with the natural healing benefits of Dilo oil, and Ice Cream Treat-Ment for Kids allowing children to soak in a coconut footbath while enjoying a cooling ice cream treat.

Private cabanas are available to rent for the day and all guests receive complimentary poolside amenities, including frozen grapes, small smoothies and fruit skewers.

With Santa Fe recognized for its rich culinary repertoire, foodies will revel in the Resort’s fine-dining restaurant Terra. Helmed by Executive Chef Jose Fernandez, the chef’s garden is open for summer for multi-course private dinners to soak in the iconic Santa Fe sunsets while dining al fresco. The outdoor courtyard is also transformed into a live cooking area every Wednesday and Thursday evening as Fernandez prepares his signature paella, inspired by his Spanish roots, and chuleton steak dinners.

Guests of the Resort will also find surprise and delight with complimentary offerings that include morning group hikes, yoga classes, mixology and cooking demonstrations, s’mores by the firepit, and a shuttle to and from downtown Santa Fe.
