Yu Yuan, the Chinese restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, has been awarded one Michelin star for the second consecutive year following the release of the new Guide. Yu Yuan is the only hotel Chinese restaurant to receive such distinction by the 2018 Michelin Guide Seoul.

“We are very proud that Yu Yuan has been recognised with a coveted star from Michelin for the second year in a row. Both the culinary and service teams have been dedicated to delivering meticulous cuisine and service to our guests, and it is a great honour to have their efforts recognised in this remarkable way,” says Lubosh Barta, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Seoul.

Under the leadership of Chef Simon Wu who has worked in 16 different addresses in China for over four decades, Yu Yuan at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul opened on October 12, 2015 with a mission and goal to bring a fresh take on Chinese dining to Seoul. Its menu focuses on premium Cantonese cuisine that highlight regional specialties of China including its signature Peking duck. Named after the famous Shanghai rock garden that influences its look, Yu Yuan was designed by world-class designer André Fu from AFSO with décor and ambiance that pay homage to the opulence and glamour of Shanghai during its heyday in the swinging 1920s. With deep jade and rich wooden tones running through the space, Yu Yuan is a modern take on the Shanghai rock garden that also boasts a true sense of grandeur with warmth and elegance.
