Wild at Heart: Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti Reveals "Sherehe," a Wedding Celebration in the Beauty of the Savannah

Whether couples have faced delays to their wedding celebrations or are simply searching for the perfect wedding location, Four Seasons Safari Lodge has unveiled the Sherehe wedding package for the chance to commemorate lifelong togetherness in the natural beauty of the Serengeti wilderness.

Set amongs the swaying grasslands of the savannah, the Sherehe wedding ceremony can accommodate up to 150 guests, while also being available for intimate celebrations just for two. Local Maasai watch over the ceremony to provide a sense of security in the wilderness prior to their tribal dancing performance that signifies the start of a new life together.

For celebrations just for two, the Maasai performance is followed by a romantic bush dinner on top of a kopje (a small, rocky hill), while larger parties are escorted to a designated bush dinner location for continued celebrations around the bonfire and food served from live cooking stations.

Further to the ceremony and evening’s dinner, additional inclusions to the Sherehe wedding package include:

• One bridal bouquet
• One 90-minute couple's massage or body treatment of choice
• One bottle of Champagne on the wedding day
• Pressing for the couple's wedding attire
• Transportation to and from the ceremony location for the couple

The Sherehe wedding package is available from USD 1,800 for a couple. All Sherehe wedding ceremonies are conducted by a Four Seasons employee to act as the master of ceremony. Should guests wish to arrange an official ceremony, the Lodge’s Wedding Coordinator is able to assist guests in facilitating arrangements.
