Seychelles, Desroches Island

In the Outer Amirantes, far removed from the day to day, Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island is preparing to welcome guests for the festive season, offering daily discoveries on its four-mile (6.5 kilometre) long island and more than nine miles (14.5 kilometres) of undisturbed coastline.

On Desroches, the Four Seasons island community, which comprises more than 40 nationalities, is looking forward to a festive season of adventure and celebrations. From meeting and feeding the giant Aldabra tortoises at the Tortoise Sanctuary to playing a match of sunset football adjacent to the island’s private runway or exploring some of the surrounding world-class dive sites with Blue Safari, activities ignite a sense of adventure in all ages.

Island Festivities

At the Resort’s Discovery Centre, marine education partners WiseOceans await with a fun-filled program of activities that range from treasure hunts to snorkelling classes, marine ping pong and microscope madness, all designed to share greater insights into the underwater world.

On Christmas Day itself, younger guests will have chance to meet with Santa, who will arrive to the beach for a delivery of gifts during the heart of the festivities.

For a more relaxed pace, the Circle of Connection Spa will complement its existing menu with the launch of Ritual Nwel - a festive-inspired ritual that combines a 60-minute couple’s massage with a 30-minute coconut body scrub and a 30-minute tropical bath infused with cinnamon essential oil.

Culinary Celebrations

Throughout the festive season, the culinary team at Desroches, led by Executive Chef Olivier Barré, will be serving up a selection of special menus, including interactive stations at breakfast, an opulent Christmas Eve menu in Claudine Restaurant and a burger and ice cream feast for New Year’s Day. Other themed evenings will include local Creole flavours, Italian Night and the spices and aromas of Indian cuisine.

On New Year’s Eve, Claudine restaurant will play host to a "Taste of Nations" celebratory dinner, with live music and entertainment helping to welcome in 2020, as diners enjoy with flavours from Asia, Europe, Mexico and the Indian Ocean. Children will also have plentiful opportunities to indulge in tempting dishes at the dedicated kids’ buffet.
