Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail Announces Summer Celebrations and a Cultural Calendar Filled with High Altitude Music and Dance

Season-long summer programming in Vail Valley boasts a robust mix of classical music, jazz, pop and rock concerts, and dance performances where internationally celebrated artists, performers, conductors, and ensembles take centre stage

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail celebrates the start of summer in Vail Valley and a range of season-long cultural programming including classical music, jazz, pop and rock concerts, and dance performances by world-renowned performers. In honour of the full return of music and dance in the mountains, Four Seasons Resort Vail presents two special room offers, including Suite Dreams, featuring 15 percent off suites, and Stay Longer - Fifth Night Free.

Highlights of the 2023 season include the following festivals and performances:

Bravo! Vail is an annual classic music festival held in Vail, Colorado. Hosted at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater between June 22 and August 3, 2023, Bravo! Vail’s organizers and the Vail community welcome world-class performers, conductors, and ensembles including the New York Philharmonic, London’s Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail has also joined Bravo! Vail as the lead sponsor of the festival’s opening night on Thursday, June 22 featuring London’s Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, and presenting Anne-Marie McDermott, solo pianist and Bravo! Vail’s Artistic Director.

Vail Jazz Festival again makes its much-anticipated return to Vail Valley July 9 through September 4, 2023 with a series of electrifying jazz performances in the heart of Vail, featuring the very best in hot jazz, bebop, bossa nova, gypsy jazz, and big band sounds. Notable live performances will include Tatiana Mayfield and the Drew Zaremba Sextet, Wycliffe Gordon’s Funk Revolution, Tony Desare with the Zaremba Jazz Fellowship, The String Queens, and the Sullivan Fortner Trio.

Vail Dance Festival, taking place July 29 through August 7, 2023, is a two-week celebration of exceptional artistry with numerous performances from internationally celebrated dancers and companies under the creative vision of acclaimed artistic director Damian Woetzel. Highlights of the Vail Dance Festival season include the legendary Martha Graham Dance Company, L.A. Dance Project, Music from the Sole, BalletX, and DanceAspen.

In collaboration with AEG Presents, the AMP Summer Concert Series at Vail’s Gerald. R. Ford Amphitheater returns in 2023 with more headliner concerts from a variety of genres including rock, pop, country, bluegrass, comedy, and more. The Amphitheater’s calendar includes shows by Local Natives, Shakey Graves, Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Thievery Corporation, Old Crow Medicine Show, Caamp, Chicago – The Band, The Head and the Heart, Father John Misty, Mt. Joy. Pixies, Modest Mouse, Tash Sultana, and more.

Just a 3-minute drive from Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail, the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater will serve as the central location for most major performances taking place in Vail this summer. A grand outdoor venue with seating for more than 2,500, “The Amp,” as it is referred to by locals, opened in June 1987 with the support of the 38th President of the United States Gerald R. Ford and his wife Betty Ford.

The botanical gardens, adjacent to the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, were established in 1985, and in 1988 the gardens are christened as the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. The gardens are renowned as the highest botanical gardens in North America and are an attraction to locals as well as international visitors all year long.
