Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC brings back afternoon tea in a whole new way with unlimited Moët Champagne, bite-sized works of art that taste as good as they look, tea-infused martinis and a live soundtrack by the uber-talented DJ and curator Violetta Markelou of Dino Beats & Beautiful Music.

After disappearing from the menu for more than a decade, Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC reintroduces its famous afternoon tea, re-invented as DC Tea.

A reflection of DC’s art and culture scene, DC Tea is a chic and modern way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Not your majesty’s tea – this is DC’s Tea.  Bottomless Moët Champagne is served as guests indulge in cherry blossom petit-fours and cucumber-mint crust-less sandwiches. Savour a Chesapeake Bay crab roll or quail egg oatcake.  The hazelnut-chocolate opera is that perfect balance of sweet decadence that guests will crave until their next visit. Looking for a drink with a little more kick? The bartender has created a menu of tea-infused Martinis that will make pinkies stand tall.

Modern parents will rejoice as Georgetown’s premier haute dhildren’s boutique Little Birdies partners with Four Seasons to launch DC Tea. Treat little ones to the tea experience and browse through Little Birdie’s Spring Line as everyone sips, savours and sways to the beats. Throughout the year local small businesses will be highlighted as Four Seasons shines the spotlight on the incredible craftsmanship that can be found in DC. To add to the experience, Swirl has provided handmade activity kits with purpose that will engage and enchant.

Executive Chef Andrew Court, originally from England, is proud of his re-engineered version of the British Afternoon Tea. “DC Tea is the reinvention of a tradition. Afternoon tea was so popular for many years at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC and I am so excited to reintroduce a tea that is the reflection of DC today.”

Come and enjoy DC Tea every Saturday, starting February 2, 2019, at Seasons Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC. Reservations from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Full tea with unlimited Champagne is USD 75; tea without Champagne is USD 60; and children’s tea is USD 30 under 12 years of age.  Reservations required. Call +1 202 342 0444 or book on Open Table.
