Building on a 40 year tradition of excellence, innovation and community involvement, Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC announces an exciting collaboration with Swirl, a DC based, award winning non-profit, to create novel programs that delight families while supporting local charities. The architect behind community kindness initiatives, Swirl has designed bespoke, age-appropriate experiences to help create a culture of compassion that starts in childhood and lasts a lifetime.

This summer, as part of the “Hotel at Play” programming, the Hotel and Swirl have collaborated to create a unique masterpiece. Every Sunday this summer you will find local artist, Jabari Jefferson, working on his magnificent mural outside Seasons Brunch from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. An accomplished artist and also an art teacher, Jefferson shares his passion for painting with guests and invites you (and your children) to assist in creating a three-part mural that will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, serving more than 15,000 local children. The mural depicts summertime as a kid in his native Washington, DC. Each week, a new part of the mural will be completed as Jefferson skillfully guides guests of all ages through the multi-step techniques of creating a work of art.

The kindness continues throughout the Hotel this summer in the sweetest way possible. Order the “Swirl Sundae” on any of the menus at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC and know that you are helping send DC foster kids to summer camp. The entire proceeds from the sale of each sundae are donated to FAEPAC, a DC charity that helps foster parents.

Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC has a longstanding history of giving back to the community through annual events such as “Race to Beat Cancer” on September 14, 2019, benefitting MedStar Hospital, “Thanksgiving on the Mayflower” benefiting DC’s first responders or “Light Up The Season,” which benefits Children’s National Hospital every December. The partnership with Swirl further develops the community kindness initiatives of the Hotel by engaging our youngest guests with arts and crafts.

Swirl’s founder Madhura Bhat, who recently received Washington Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award, said, “We are humbled to have partnered with Four Seasons in a city as magical as Washington, DC. The Hotel staff have been wonderful collaborators and the commitment to their guests and the local community is truly inspiring.”

“We are always looking for new ways to serve our guests and are excited to provide a really unique offering,” says Four Seasons Regional Vice President and General Manager David Bernand. “It has been rewarding to work with Swirl, to build on our passion for excellence and creatively introduce empathy, education and fun. Our guests have been truly delighted by these initiatives.”

Mix learning with fun and games as part of our Hotel at Play for kids and kids at heart. Four Seasons invites you and your family to experience some of these wonderful opportunities first hand when you stay overnight or dine at one of our restaurants. Seasons Brunch is served every Sunday from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm and includes limitless sparkling wine or Bloody Marys, a raw bar, specialty food stations and a full pastry room featuring more 30 handcrafted desserts.
