Fifth Annual Light Up The Season at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC to Benefit Children’s National Hospital

Top designers and patients create stunning holiday décor for all to enjoy

Light Up The Season, the annual community fundraising event benefiting Children’s National Hospital, is on at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC. It is co-hosted by the Founders Auxiliary Board and Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC.

The holiday programming highlights creative collaborations between Children’s National patients and notable area designers and artists. These collaborations resulted in five holiday trees and one menorah that shine brightly this season, with proceeds directly supporting programs that improve the health and well-being of children across the Washington, DC region.

Light Up The Season

The team at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC proudly continues Light Up The Season with heartfelt holiday programming to bring light and joy to the children and their families who need it most. Patients at Children’s National collaborated with local designers to make unique trees and decorations that glow bright with a child’s imagination. View these incredible designs in the Hotel lobby through January 2, 2022.

These one-of-a-kind creations have been brought to life through the generosity of sponsors. Teddy Bear Tea

On December 11, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm, partake in a special holiday tea featuring tea sandwiches, scones, delicate pastries and choice of tea, hot chocolate or sparkling wine. Dancers from the Metropolitan School of the Arts in their holiday costumes enchant the youngest guests and each child will be gifted with a Children’s National Dr. Bear stuffed animal. One hundred percent of proceeds go to Children’s National Hospital. Tickets are limited and can be reserved on Tock. Adults are USD 95. Children from the ages of 6-15 are USD 55 and children 5 and under are complimentary.

Additional Dr. Bear stuffed animals will sold to benefit Children’s National Hospital at the hotel for USD 50.

Holiday Market

From Friday, December 3 through Sunday, December 19, 2021, a vibrant holiday market will appear on the front courtyard of Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC with market stalls featuring unique gifts and culinary offerings created by the Hotel craftspeople and local artisans. Each Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Hotel becomes an outdoor holiday shopping destination with musical entertainment, light and snow displays. There is never a better time to indulge as 10 percent of each purchase is donated directly to Children’s National Hospital. Complete holiday shopping Fridays from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm.

Musicians from the Artist in Residence Program at the Music Center at Strathmore will be performing throughout the holiday market weekends.

Press Preview

A Press Preview event will be held December 2, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the front courtyard of Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC. Sample hot chocolate, passed hors d’oeuvres and a sweet station to get the holiday season started and a first glimpse at the holiday market.
