Whistler, Canada

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler hosts the annual Terry Fox Run on September 17, 2017 in support of cancer research. The Terry Fox Run is a non-competitive event where people get together as individuals, families and groups to raise money for cancer research in Terry's name. It is a day of celebrating Terry's legacy and helping to keep alive his dream of finding a cure for cancer.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts proudly continues its role for the 37th year as a founding sponsor of the annual Terry Fox Runs, which supports the legacy of Terry Fox worldwide, aiming to raise awareness as well as funds for cancer research. Terry Fox Runs take place in more 9,000 communities across Canada every year and are accessible to anyone without limitations.

The enthusiastic team from Four Seasons Resort Whistler is excited to welcome guests from the Sea to Sky region to the yearly Terry Fox Run in Whistler, which will see runners embark from the Resort on the 10 kilometre route to pay tribute to a beloved Canadian hero. Following the run, event-goers are invited back to a family-friendly event filled with live music and a BBQ lunch on SIDECUT Restaurant's patio.  Raffle prizes include room nights in Four Seasons hotels and resorts in Vancouver and Hawaii plus Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver, adventure tours, dinner gift certificates, Scandinave Spa Whistler passes and more.

The Marathon of Hope Continues

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is committed to advancing cancer research. Much of the Hotel’s devotion to this important cause stems from Terry Fox’s 1980 Marathon of Hope. Terry inspired Canadians to action before dying of lung cancer less than a year after striking out across Canada with the goal of raising one million dollars. To date, more than CAD 700 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry’s name through the annual runs held coast-to-coast, and around the world.
