A summer-long event capturing the spirit of reuniting, with classic backyard celebrations

It's in the air - summer in Whistler has arrived! To welcome the longer days and warm evenings, Four Seasons Resort Whistler announces Braidwood Sunsets - a twilight hour celebration every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:00 pm on Braidwood Tavern’s expansive terrace (weather dependent). Inspired by classic backyard get-togethers, Braidwood Sunsets is a perfect way to kick back and reconnect with family and friends to grab a bite, make a toast, and watch the sun go down, together.

Beginning July 1, 2021 and running throughout the summer months, Four Seasons presents tasty bites and sips from the property’s newest restaurant, Braidwood Tavern. In addition to Braidwood’s delectable Americana fare, Executive Chef Eren Guryel will be cooking up special appetisers such as succulent skewers grilled right on the patio. Soak up the summer vibes with special local beer features and cocktail flights, while taking in Whistler’s lively nightlife with local musicians nightly. Mix and mingle with local Whistler creators and makers with artisans displaying one-of-a-kind artworks, as well as brewers from the Sea to Sky region stopping by to chat about their craft.

There’s nothing quite like Whistler in the summer, and in accordance with British Columbia’s reopening plan, as well as the Lead With Care program, Four Seasons Whistler invites guests to its own backyard to savour every last bit of it.

Summer Bites + Sips

Kick-off summer with an evening tasting the flavours of British Columbia on the legendary terrace. Chef Eren Guryel of Braidwood, which opened in 2020, heads the special Off the Grill menu. His tavern-inspired creations include halibut and oyster mushroom skewers with green goddess sauce and lemon aioli, and beef skewers with spiced Greek yogurt - all freshly grilled on the patio and served with flatbread.

The full Braidwood menu is available as well, with backyard summer classics such as the Plaid Lad Chile Burger with green chile cheese, a juicy Canadian beef patty on a soft potato bun, or a thin-crust pizza topped with elk salami and arugula, and let’s not forget the All Green pizza topped with avocado and pistachio herb pesto.

Braidwood’s skilled bartenders are shaking up something special, too. Partnering with premium tequila brand Hornitos, the new Margarita flights feature playful takes on the classic cocktail such as the Mijo Margarita with refreshing cucumber and mint, or the Bonita with homemade cardamom bitters. And of course, fresh takes on the Canadian classic debuting cravable Caesar flights. Braidwood’s beer flights (including the impressive 14 beer flight) keep things local as British Columbia’s renowned breweries are always a must-try.

Local Artists + Creators

To set the sunset mood, Four Seasons has lined up nightly entertainment including local artists playing everyone’s favourite tunes. Throughout the season, Four Seasons has also invited local artists and artisans to present works for sale. Invitees include clay artist Kathleen Tennack as well as jewelry designer Tess Klien.

For those looking to brush-up on their beer knowledge, Four Seasons has invited brewers from across the Sea to Sky region to the bash. Get to know local makers from breweries such as Coast Mountain Brewing and Whistler Brewing Company and sip on some of their best-loved beers.

Braidwood Sunsets begin on July 1, 2021 and run through the summer every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:00 to 9:30 pm. Complimentary valet parking available.
