As head sommelier of Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, Aude Vaillard brings valuable experience and a deep knowledge of wines from around the world to share with guests as they explore the Resort’s extensive wine program.

A native of Caen, France, Aude was raised on Reunion Island, the French territory in the Indian Ocean. Her father, a former restaurateur, always shared his passion for food and wine with Aude, instilling an early interest in following his epicurean footsteps. When she later moved to Bordeaux, the famed grape region in France, Aude was immediately taken and followed her own passion in to the wonderful world of wine.

While earning her Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Business Administration from Vatel Mauritius International Hospitality Management School, Mauritius, Aude worked as a trainee at multiple hotels in Brussels and Mauritius, getting real-time experience in the field, while also earning her WSET 2 and 3 certifications, both with merits. In 2017, she moved to Bordeaux, France, where she attended Vatel Bordeaux International Hospitality Management School, earning a second MBA with a Wine and Spirit Specialization. With her passion firmly established, Aude gained valuable experience working in Bordeaux as a server and manager, before moving up the sommelier ranks at Le Quatrième Mur, the famed Philippe Etchebest restaurant. In 2022, she earned her ASI Certification: Niveau 1 and moved back to Mauritius as Head Sommelier at the acclaimed Constance Prince Maurice hotel, where she oversaw a team of 12 sommeliers and a list of more than 2,500 wines.

Aude joined Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora in 2023 as Head Sommelier, overseeing and developing the Resort’s collection of fine wines from around the world, offering private tasting experiences, and offering pairings and suggestions to guests throughout their stays.

An islander at heart, Aude enjoys swimming and snorkeling at the beach, travel and gastronomy (usually paired with wine, of course). She speaks English and French.
