An eternal spiritual student, Dheeraj Singh Patwal has been practising yoga since the age of 9, with a privilege of learning from exponents in Rishikesh (the world capital of yoga), India.  It was actually karate that piqued his interest in yoga and he continues to practice the two complementary disciplines alongside one other.

A certified practitioner with a Diploma in Yogic Science and Masters in Yoga, Dheeraj has participated in a number of seminars to highlight the positive effects of yoga, psychotherapy and spirituality in the modern world. As an alternative physical therapist, he is also certified in Romana Pilates or True Pilates method under the guidance of Cynthia Lochard – one of the Four Grand Masters in the World in Pilates.

Dheeraj is well-respected for his in-depth understanding of Hatha yoga, therapeutic yoga, Iyengar yoga, Raja yoga, Shat-Karma (yogic methods of body and mind detoxification), wheel yoga, crystal sound healing, Pranayama, meditation, sound healing and Pilates, travelling across continents to share his knowledge and expertise in these holistic healing practices.

A guiding light, Dheeraj finds his motivation in helping people on their personal path of wellbeing, “Being connected to oneself – even for a few minutes – is magical, especially in an environment as powerful as Chiang Mai,” he shares.

As the sun begins to set, he can often be found practicing Purna Dhanurasana (bow pose) by the rice fields – his favourite asana in a "serene energy" spot.  A true way of life, his yoga devotion extends to daily meditation, spiritual songs and prayers; frequent journeys home to India to study with his guru; and travelling to new places to satisfy his ongoing quest for growth and learning, all while adding a pure and peaceful energy to the wellness program at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai.
